I was curious about this product, so I looked up reviews on Hwahae and they seemed pretty good. That's why I decided to give it a try. First off, the texture is quite thin. All the BB creams and brightening moisturizers I own are beige-toned, but this one has a pink hue. When I first applied it, I thought, 'Oh no, did I make a mistake?' My face looked pale, like I had a white cast, and it didn't absorb immediately. But as I continued to spread it and help it absorb, once it was fully applied, it looked natural, as if it were my own skin, giving me a radiant complexion in natural light. On the day I went out wearing this, someone asked what I'd done to my skin, saying it looked great. It seems to excel at its job as a brightening moisturizer. However, the coverage isn't particularly high. While it didn't cause any blemishes, I have very dry skin, and during seasonal changes or when my skin is extremely dehydrated, this product sometimes pills a bit when applied. Rather than using a puff or brush, I find it adheres to the skin better when you spread it with your hands, using your body heat, and then pat it in to help it absorb. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinJan 17, 2025
Wow, this is seriously good as a brightening moisturizer! It's incredibly effective. Some people say it makes you look too pale, but if you blend it a few times, it becomes more subtle. Plus, you don't even need a primer because it has a bit of hydration and cica, so it doesn't cake! I can't believe I only discovered this this year - I've been living like a different person for so long! It's not just for the face; you can apply it to your neck without it feeling heavy. It doesn't transfer easily either! There's a bit of glitter in it, which some people might love or hate, but I actually like it. It gives a slightly peachy tone-up effect, like a light pink shade? I'm usually warm-toned, but this gives me a cool-tone vibe which I love! Highly recommend! The glitter might be a hit or miss for some people! But there's not much glitter in it, so don't worry about it. It works great with Daiso powder! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 17, 2024
I love how it brightens my complexion naturally without feeling heavy like other sunscreens So far, I haven't found any downsides, so I'll probably keep using this exclusively - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinOct 7, 2024
I was skeptical when I first tried this Palm Tree Stimosica-based skincare product, but it's turned out to be perfect for me - I'm already on my second bottle! It provides a slight brightening effect and includes sun protection, so this one product takes care of everything I need. Like most products of this type, you need to apply it evenly or it can clump a bit. Also, it's hard to tell how much is left in the bottle - that's something that could be improved. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 24, 2024
I stumbled upon Stimo regenerative ointment at the pharmacy and liked it, so I looked for related products. I found a cosmetic product containing the same wheat germ extract. The reviews were good, so I decided to give it a try. I had a feeling this ingredient would soothe my skin, provide sun protection, and be a win-win situation. It's like a sunscreen, but it's called a brightening moisturizer. True to its base product nature, it evens out the complexion and brightens the face, making it perfect to apply before putting on makeup. With its UV protection, it's also great for everyday use as a sunscreen alternative. It has a pink tint, so when I applied a lot to my face, there was a noticeable color difference with my neck. To make it look more natural, I applied some to my neck as well. I have super sensitive skin, and while there were no issues on my face, I noticed a small blemish appear on my neck a few seconds after application. It seems there might be an ingredient that doesn't agree with my skin, but the reaction subsided after an hour or two. I think it would look more natural if it came in an ivory shade instead of pink. When I applied this product after using a thick La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, it was a bit difficult to spread evenly. It might apply better over a hydrating, moisturizing emulsion. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 5, 2024
With the right amount, you get a natural brightening effect! Even when oil surfaces, there's no breakdown, clumping, or separation. Apply in the morning, and you'll have a soft-focus finish until evening. As someone with oily skin, I used to hate how makeup would wear off in areas where I produce more oil. But with this product, even when my skin gets super oily, it just looks dewy without the applied texture getting messy. That's its biggest advantage! I really wish it came in a beige tone too. I want to achieve that 'no makeup' look. Currently, it's a pink tone, so for those with medium skin (around shade 22-23), it's slightly noticeable that you're wearing something. It does brighten your complexion by one shade with a pink hue. However, as time passes, it does blend in more naturally. For those with very oily skin, try setting it lightly with powder or keep some blotting papers handy to absorb excess oil occasionally. The great thing is, even when oil surfaces, the formula doesn't lift or come off when you blot, so it removes the shine cleanly. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 28, 2023
Here's my review after using it for about a week. I usually use a pink base before foundation to neutralize my yellow skin tone. The previous product from another brand kept causing blemishes, so I decided to try this one. 1. It naturally brightens and evens out my yellow complexion. I always go for pink bases as pure white can make me look dull and ashy. This one provides just the right amount of color correction, making my skin look radiant. It's perfect as a base before foundation! 2. It doesn't get excessively oily over time. After trying various products, I've found that some initially seem fine but become greasy as time passes, making my skin look muddy. This one doesn't do that! It maintains the makeup well throughout the day. 3. It has sun protection. An unexpected bonus in a brightening moisturizer! It's gentler on the skin and more convenient as I don't need to apply sunscreen separately. 4. It doesn't cause blemishes. With my previous product, I often experienced itching and occasional red spots after going out. Since switching to this, those issues have disappeared! Considering the base is the only thing I've changed, this product seems to have gentle and good ingredients. 5. It absorbs quickly and well. My routine involves applying base after showering, then drying my hair before applying foundation. Even with my short hair that dries quickly, by the time I'm ready for foundation, this base has absorbed perfectly, creating an ideal canvas! After absorption, it doesn't feel sticky or shiny, but rather like a light, adhering coating. 6. Easy to control amount The narrow opening that can stand upright makes it super easy to control the amount used! 1. Personally, I wish it was a bit more hydrating. Maybe because I used to use a tone-up 'cream' rather than a base? It's not drying at all after application, but I feel it could be just a tad more moisturizing! Just slightly lacking, you know? But it's still way better than products that become oily over time, causing makeup to melt off. 2. The scent might be divisive? There's a subtle rose or floral scent. I'm not a fan of such fragrances, but it doesn't bother me much when using it! The scent is definitely not overpowering. 3. The natural tone correction is (in my opinion) not enough for a foundation-free look! If you have really good skin with no visible pores and a natural glow, this might be enough on its own. But for average skin like mine, relying solely on this for base makeup feels a bit lacking. For best results, finish your skincare routine to ensure your skin is well-hydrated and firm, then apply a thin layer of this brightening moisturizer focusing on areas you want to even out before applying makeup. It applies and absorbs well with just your fingers! If you feel a bit dry while applying foundation, lightly mist your face and gently pat with a sponge. This will give your skin a healthy glow! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinMar 30, 2023
This is really similar to the SN Le Beige base. It feels like a more affordable version of the C brand base. The color is bright and the ingredients seem gentle overall. Even though I have oily skin, I'm using it well. When applied, there's no dryness and it glides on smoothly like a cream. Since it's a brightening moisturizer rather than a BB cream or foundation, it feels much lighter on the face, making it perfect for summer wear. Honestly? I didn't notice any particular drawbacks. It brightens and evens skin tone effectively even with a small amount, so I've been using it for quite a while... It seems to work best when applied with your hands rather than a spatula or other tools. While it's portable, for those who find even this too big for their mini bags, you could squeeze some into a contact lens case to carry around. After all, you apply it with your hands anyway. In summer, when I've been sweating a lot outside, I completely wipe off my face and reapply. It gives a transparent, glowing finish that makes your skin look beautiful. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinMar 4, 2023
It evens out my skin tone subtly, making it perfect for daily use. There's nothing particularly special about it, and the scent isn't really to my liking. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 9, 2022
I don't wear much makeup, so I bought this brightening moisturizer. It evens out my skin tone naturally and effectively. It tends to pill slightly when wearing a mask. I suppose that's unavoidable?
