My husband's skin has become honey-smooth! He hates sticky products, but he always reaches for this one. It's perfect for his combination dehydrated skin that tends to be oily. Unfortunately, due to my morning sickness, the scent doesn't agree with me. The fragrance is just not a good match for me right now. - rl*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 13, 2025
I thought this watery cream would be super sticky, but it's not at all! It absorbs beautifully with a fresh feel. It's not greasy, so when I apply it generously at night, I can feel my skin becoming softer and clearer by morning. This product is perfect for when your skin feels tired and dry! Oh, and the tube packaging makes it easy to control the amount and is very hygienic - I'm so satisfied with this product! Apart from the smaller quantity due to the tube packaging, I used this product without any complaints! When my skin loses elasticity and feels rough, I apply this generously before bed. The next day, my skin texture improves and becomes smoother - I love it! - gr*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedMar 3, 2025
This product gained popularity through word-of-mouth in military stores, or PX. Like many other military store cosmetics, its biggest strength is that it's both effective and affordable, so you can use it generously without breaking the bank. Moms with sons in the military or girlfriends waiting for their enlisted boyfriends (a term I used when I was 21, and it's still used today!) have probably received this as a gift. I learned about it through my family member who's a career soldier. If you're reading this review thinking, 'My son never bought me anything like this!' don't be too upset. He's probably saving up to show his appreciation in a bigger way after discharge. (But if you're curious about this product, you can find it online at a reasonable price.) Now, let me list the advantages I've experienced while using this product: 1. Dual effects of brightening and anti-wrinkle Just as a string duet consists of a violin and a cello, I consider a functional cosmetic duet to be brightening and anti-wrinkle effects. This product contains 1000ppm of collagen to help with skin firmness, as well as niacinamide, adenosine, and hyaluronic acid for brightening and hydration - it's the perfect combination. 2. Creamy yet rich texture Despite its 'water cream' name, the texture is slightly rich but with less oil. To draw a comparison from my 25 years of makeup experience, it feels similar to a silicone-free primer for pore coverage. As a result, it applies smoothly without feeling greasy. 3. Excellent absorption Due to its textural characteristics, it absorbs exceptionally well. Though I'm not a science expert, based on the bits of knowledge I've picked up, I suspect the ingredients have fine particles. It sinks into the skin immediately after application. 4. Unique fragrance While opinions may vary on the scent, one thing is certain - it's quite distinctive. As the saying goes, life is full of ups and downs. The same can be said for cosmetics - what seems like an advantage can sometimes lead to shortcomings. This product is no exception: 1. Laundry detergent-like scent The unique fragrance I mentioned earlier can sometimes feel refreshing, similar to a clean soap scent. However, at times it reminds me of laundry detergent, which can be off-putting. While the scent isn't overpowering, it does linger, so it might not be for everyone. 2. Insufficient hydration Despite containing hyaluronic acid, it lacks both moisture and oil, so you can't expect long-lasting hydration. Because it absorbs so quickly, you don't feel any moisturizing barrier on your skin. If you have dry skin, you might experience significant tightness if you finish with just this product. These pros and cons can be balanced out by using other skincare products. I apply toner, serum, or emulsion before this product, then follow up with a more hydrating cream to add oil and moisture. With this kind of complementary routine, you can address the dryness issue and use the product satisfactorily. Its matte finish makes it great for applying to areas prone to oiliness, like the forehead or around the neck. I apply it to my frown lines, smile lines, and under-eye area right before bed, in addition to my earlier skincare routine. That's why I keep two - one by my bedside! (Note that not all ingredients are completely gentle, so please check and use according to your individual needs.) - jm******Dry SkinRecommendedFeb 26, 2025
Early 40s / Dry skin I received this cream as a gift from a friend. I was worried about using it since Skin Pastel was a brand I'd never heard of before, but it's actually really nice to use! First off, I'm in my early 40s, so I'm very conscious about wrinkles. Even though the dermatologist says my skin's moisture levels are fine when measured, I still prioritize hydrating products when choosing creams. This collagen cream feels like it has a medium level of richness. Those in their 20s might find it a bit richer than I do. I apply it in the evening after toner and serum, and my skin looks great the next morning. The scent isn't unscented, but has a slightly sour, vitamin-like fragrance. It's not unpleasant. The texture looks thick, but it's actually a water cream that spreads easily. This is a new discovery for me, and I'd be willing to purchase it with my own money once I finish this one. In winter, if you have dry skin and only use two steps (toner and cream) in your evening routine instead of three or more, you might find the richness insufficient. Also, I was a bit surprised by the ingredients... I highly recommend mixing a bit of retinol cream with this collagen cream. It's a non-irritating way to keep your skin hydrated while preventing wrinkles. - tt*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsFeb 22, 2025
I can't really find any positives... I don't think I could even use this as a hand cream. First off, the smell is absolutely terrible; it's like an underground toy factory that's never been cleaned or ventilated. After hesitating for ages because of the smell, I finally tried applying it to my face. It felt really cold, and the area around my mouth started tingling uncomfortably. Since I'm on my period and already dealing with blemishes, I immediately washed it off, applied my usual soothing cream, and put on a modeling mask. - pu************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 20, 2025
The texture feels great when applying! It's like you can feel your skin improving?! Even those with sensitive skin can use it without worrying about blemishes~! I can't think of any downsides, everything about it was great!! As I'm running out, I'll definitely need to buy it again :) - a0**********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 5, 2025
It absorbs smoothly when applied, and I love the subtle, fragrant floral scent that wafts as you use it! I'm using it so well that there's nothing particularly disappointing about it! - go****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 31, 2024
I tried this after seeing my mom use it. Although I don't use it often enough to say it's amazing, I like how smoothly it absorbs into the skin. The scent is pleasant too. It seems like a solid choice for everyday use. I can't really tell if it's making a difference yet. My mother says it's decent and she's been using it consistently. - ss*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 4, 2024
The fragrance is lovely. When applied with an eye cream, it makes my skin feel silky smooth, which I adore. I personally use it with A** brand eye cream. Definitely recommend applying it before bed! It's not runny, but when it comes out of the tube, it reminds me of a horsehair worm. Am I the only one who thinks this? - mo******Dry SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsJul 15, 2024
The absorption was great. At first, I hesitated to apply it, thinking it might go on thick, but it actually spread thinly and evenly. The scent was really off-putting. It faded a bit over time, but I still disliked it because of the fragrance. Maybe because it's July, but it felt like it trapped heat on my face. I recommend using this in winter or fall.
