This is the third product I've tried from this brand, and with the recent breakouts I've been experiencing, I've been using it regularly to soothe my skin. It absorbs quickly and isn't overly lightweight and watery, so it works well for my combination skin type.
Cons💔 The texture is definitely quite viscous, so there's a slightly tacky, residual feel left on the skin. This could be a dealbreaker for some. I find it works better for me to apply it before bedtime rather than under makeup, as it can feel like a film is left on the face. 💔 Those who don't tolerate centella well should check the ingredient list carefully before purchasing!

It suited my skin's moisture and oil balance perfectly, getting absorbed into my skin almost like it was sucking it in. I really liked that. The scent is just like a regular hydrating essence, and it doesn't have a lingering fragrance. As someone who usually does well with fermented ingredients (lactobacillus, bifidobacterium) and centella, this product was a great find that tackled both of those aspects at once.
ConsThe vitamin A retinol ampoule from the same brand had a nice application, so I thought the centella biotics cicapair ampoule would be similar, but it's a bit different. The formula itself is more watery and lightweight, and I felt it was a bit sticky when absorbing into my skin. Even after it absorbed, there was still a slight residue left on my hands. It feels like it lacks a bit of moisture, so I'll need to use another product to add more hydration, especially in the winter. For my sensitive-skinned partner, it caused redness on their face right after application. :( I think this may not be suitable for very sensitive skin types.

It worked well for my skin as a light pre-cream application for the current season. I've often had issues with centella products, but this one didn't cause any breakouts.
ConsThere is a slight sticky residue, but it's manageable when covered with a cream. Like retinol, it comes in a dropper-type packaging, but a pump dispenser would be better. Even though the dropper is meant to be recycled, it's still difficult to use up the entire bottle.
