They say that improving the skin barrier is key to better skin, so I'm planning to use only this cleanser until I finish the bottle, ditching all my other cleansers! For those with redness, inflammation, and frequent acne breakouts, I highly recommend this gel cleanser that causes zero irritation! You can purchase it at Marzia Clinic aesthetic centers :) I bought the 400ml size for around $110. It took some time to get used to a cleanser that doesn't foam up, as it was my first experience with one. Don't wet your face. Just dampen your hands, dispense the cleanser, and gently massage it with your fingertips. I bought this cleanser after being told at an esthetic clinic that cleansing is the most important step, and it was recommended as suitable for all skin types. The texture is incredibly gentle. It doesn't foam at all, which might be surprising at first, but if you massage it like a cleansing cream or milk, it cleanses very softly. The more you use it, the more addictive this feeling becomes - even if you try other cleansers, you'll find yourself coming back to this one! It's designed to remove makeup in one go. While it might struggle with intense color cosmetics like glitter or lipstick, it does a good job with sunscreen and foundation if you cleanse thoroughly. The esthetic clinic claimed it could remove all makeup, but its cleansing power isn't quite as strong as a dedicated makeup remover. There's absolutely no irritation, and it seems to protect the skin barrier. While it doesn't directly treat blemishes, its gentle cleansing helps maintain a healthy skin barrier, making your skin feel healthier overall. It lasts longer than you might expect. Even with morning and evening use, a 400ml bottle seems to last about 6 months. It doesn't run out as quickly as you might think. The scent is comforting and healing. It has a slight baby powder fragrance that makes each use feel like a soothing experience. It can only be purchased from specific esthetic clinics, limiting buying options. There's also a lack of publicly available information on pricing and effects, so you have to rely solely on what the clinic tells you. The price is eye-watering at 132,000 won for 400ml. Marja's prices are always... shudder-inducing. It doesn't foam at all. While you get used to this over time, it can be disconcerting at first. It doesn't remove makeup completely. Although the esthetic clinic said it could remove makeup, in reality, it doesn't work perfectly. It only removes about half of lipstick and pearlescent eyeshadow. It does remove base makeup with thorough cleansing, but you end up using a lot of product, which feels wasteful. Due to its ineffectiveness and the heavy feeling it leaves, I end up using a separate makeup remover first, then this as a second cleanse. I'm disappointed by the number of caution ingredients. The esthetic clinic claimed Marja only uses good ingredients, but I was shocked to see so many caution ingredients listed on Hwahae. I never expected a cleanser to have so many questionable components. However, I haven't experienced any skin irritation while using it, so I plan to continue using it... I think it's best to use this product with the mindset of improving overall skin barrier and health, rather than expecting dramatic improvements or blemish elimination. Although I was disappointed by the number of caution ingredients, after using up an entire bottle, I found that it didn't cause any major irritation for me. In fact, it felt gentler than many over-the-counter cleansers, so I plan to repurchase it.
