It has good spreadability. It's not formulated with added fragrances and doesn't feel heavy or greasy when applied. It's not a heavy cream, and it suits my combination-sensitive skin well.
Cons
The toner from the same line does not match well, so it is a pity that it cannot be used together with the cream. The cream is said to be a barrier cream, but it is not particularly regenerative or anything, it seems to be just a mild, ordinary cream.
Tip
The cream formulation mixes well and has good skin spreadability, so it's good to use when mixing in a small amount of functional essence.

A while ago, a friend kindly gifted me a product as they were aware of my severe atopic dermatitis. This is a barrier cream that has been going viral on Instagram. It is said to be the No. 1 barrier cream at Olive Young, but the No. 1 I know is Estra 365, isn't it? Haha. When you go to the product detail page of Olive Young, it states the following verbatim: "This is a functional cosmetic that has completed the functional review by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, allowing us to claim real skin barrier recovery. It is one of only 1% of functional cosmetics in Korea that can claim skin barrier recovery!" "Please check if your current barrier cream has the claim 'helps improve symptoms of itchiness by restoring skin barrier function' on the product." The viral marketing makes me feel a bit skeptical when reading this. I usually closely examine the small print research results as well. 1) 4-day in-vivo test results on 20 women: 74.15% calming effect, 98.23% improvement in skin scaling. 2) 5/20-6/30 in-vivo test on 33 men and women: 34.9% skin barrier improvement, 67.5% itch improvement. Summarizing the 2nd study, 22 out of 33 had itch improvement, but 11 still had itchiness. 12 had barrier improvement, but 11 did not. It's unclear what the actual efficacy is. (If you don't mind, please compare the small print research results on the Olive Young website with CNP Derma&Ser Barrier Reset Cream.) As for the user experience: 1) It's a fragrance-free product, which could be a pro or con depending on personal preference. I, being used to scented products, didn't mind it much, but many reviewers mention the fragrance aspect. 2) The cream texture is thick like Estra, which those looking for a proper barrier cream would appreciate. 3) The high oil content would be great for very dry skin types.Despite the high moisturizing properties of this cream, it doesn't absorb quickly. After application, people like me who don't prefer heavy oil-based products may find it a bit suffocating. 4) Since there are no film-forming ingredients, there's no occlusive feeling after application. However, the formulation itself contains ingredients like shea butter, trometamol, and meadowfoam seed oil, which can hinder water-based moisturizers, so the overall hydration balance doesn't feel quite right - it just feels heavy. 5) The issue is that it contains coconut oil, which I tend to react to. From the first day of use, I started feeling a slight itchiness that woke me up at night, and I had to apply a medicated pad. From the second day, I started developing red irritation, which is not eczema but a reaction to the heavy oil content. 6) From the third day, I stopped using it on my face and switched to applying it on my limbs, but I experienced the same reaction. 7) Rather than strengthening the skin barrier, this cream seems to weaken it and exacerbate atopic dermatitis. 8) As with heavily marketed products, it's important to thoroughly review the details before purchasing. 9) If it works for you, the cream does provide decent moisturization, and the price is not too bad. 10) However, for people with atopic skin, including coconut oil and some other questionable ingredients seems to indicate the manufacturer may not have a deep understanding of formulating for sensitive skin. Overall, the aggressive marketing tactics and questionable formulation make me hesitant to recommend this product.
Cons
