for my dry skin, it is too moisturizing and wonderful haha This may seem heavy and stuffy for those with great wisdom. I would only recommend it to those who are superficial. - sh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 12, 2025
This cream absorbs beautifully. It's fragrance-free and applies smoothly without any pilling. It's not a heavy cream, which works well for my combination and super sensitive skin. Unfortunately, the toner from the same line didn't suit me, so I can't use it with this cream. Although it's marketed as a barrier cream, it doesn't seem to have exceptional regenerative properties. It's just a mild, gentle cream overall. The cream's texture blends well and absorbs nicely into the skin. It's great for mixing with small amounts of active serums when applying. - di****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRednessMar 2, 2025
1. A friend kindly gifted this to me recently after learning about my severe atopic dermatitis. It's a barrier cream that's gone viral on Instagram, claiming to be the #1 barrier cream at Olive Young. Though I thought Aestura 365 held that title! 2. The product page on Olive Young states: 'This is a KFDA-approved functional cosmetic that can truly claim skin barrier recovery. Only 1% of functional cosmetics in Korea can claim barrier recovery!' They urge customers to look for the phrase 'cosmetics that help improve itching by restoring skin barrier function' on their current barrier creams. 3. I always scrutinize the fine print of research results: a) In a 4-day human trial with 20 women, it showed 74.15% soothing effect and 98.23% improvement in dead skin cells. b) In a 41-day trial with 33 participants, it showed 34.9% barrier improvement and 67.5% itch relief. To break it down simply: out of 33 people, 22 experienced itch relief, while 11 still felt itchy. For barrier improvement, only 12 out of 33 saw improvement. It's hard to say what's truly effective here. 4. As for my experience: a) It's unscented, but the natural scent might be polarizing. b) The white cream texture is thick, similar to Aestura - perfect for those seeking a substantial barrier cream. c) High oil content makes it great for very dry skin, but it feels a bit heavy for me. d) No film-forming ingredients, but the formulation with shea butter, tromethamine, and meadowfoam seed oil feels a bit suffocating rather than balanced. 5. Unfortunately, possibly due to the coconut oil, I experienced itching and redness after using it. 6. I had to stop using it on my face and tried it on my arms and legs, but had the same reaction. 7. Instead of strengthening my skin barrier, it seemed to weaken it, potentially triggering atopic dermatitis. 8. Always research thoroughly before buying heavily promoted products. 9. If it works for you, the moisturizing effect is decent and the price isn't bad. 10. However, including ingredients like coconut oil for atopic skin doesn't seem well-considered. Some other ingredients also don't justify their claim of being in the top 1%. Overall, due to the questionable marketing tactics and my personal experience, I can't recommend this product. Excessive viral marketing Sensitive reaction to coconut oil Heavy formulation - hj********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedFeb 1, 2025
While it feels a bit rich, I was satisfied with how smoothly it absorbs and how well it sinks into the skin, leaving no greasy residue. As someone with dry skin, I appreciated how hydrating it was. However, it might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. The price point is somewhat disappointing. While it's great for dry skin, it may be too heavy for oily or combination skin types. If you apply it thickly like a sleeping mask before bed, it works hard overnight. - i_*************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 22, 2025
I loved how it maintained a bouncy and moisturizing texture as it absorbed into my skin The downside is that the volume is small, and compared to regular creams, its texture is quite thick, so it doesn't absorb exceptionally well - kh********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 31, 2024
The way this absorbs is truly amazing, and it pairs perfectly with the Riddle Shot! There's absolutely nothing to complain about... I think I'll stick to using just this for its fantastic absorption and hydration. - se********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 21, 2024
I was surprised by how powerful the hydration is, despite the formula being thinner than expected. It's the only cream with shea butter that miraculously didn't cause any blemishes for me. The absorption is excellent, and my skin feels incredibly soft right after application. The moisturizing power and lasting effect are top-notch. There's absolutely no stickiness, and the hydration lingers on my face for a long time. Of course, having super dry skin, I do layer it a few times, but it's hard to find a cream this good. The scent is a subtle floral that's quite pleasant and not overpowering. Having extremely dry skin, I go through creams quickly, and this one disappears fast. While the price point is understandable, it's disappointing that there isn't a larger size available. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with the product. I've had many failed attempts with barrier creams that left my skin dry, but I've been successfully using this one by mixing it half-and-half with other products. - kv*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 10, 2024
The texture is perfectly balanced between rich and lightweight. It applies so smoothly that it's hard to go wrong with this cream, which can sometimes be heavy. The hydration is excellent, and it's gentle on the skin. I love how it soothes and moisturizes even on areas with eczema-like flare-ups, without any irritation or tingling sensation. The hydrating effect lasts for a long time. There weren't any downsides. The price is reasonable and the product is great overall! - mi*****Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 27, 2024
It provides great hydration and would be perfect for those who need a thick, slightly heavy cream While the scent isn't overpowering, I personally don't care for it - jy*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 23, 2024
I was really curious about this cream advertised as a barrier-strengthening product. With its promise of 100-hour hydration, I thought it would be perfect for the dry winter months, so I decided to buy it after some consideration. I've been using it consistently morning and night for a week. First off, there's no noticeable scent. It's a cream with a balanced oil and moisture content. It absorbs well and has a nice texture! After application, there's a very subtle feeling of a protective layer on the skin. It doesn't give a glow, though. Even in heated environments, I didn't experience any dryness or that parched feeling when applying makeup. It seems like a solid product that's great for winter use! Personally, I find that products with more hydration suit my skin better and give me that Inner Glow. If you have combination dehydrated skin, you might want to use this cream only at night and opt for a more hydrating cream during the day. It's a bit disappointing that it lacks in hydration. You don't get that cool, moisturized feeling that comes with highly hydrating products. It also doesn't enhance the glow under foundation.
