I applied it on my mom, and after just one use, she said many of those tiny bumps - you know, like milia? - disappeared. Wow, that's Sulwhasoo for you! It goes on smoothly and feels great. The spoon that came with it has a rounded end, which I was puzzled about at first, but then realized it's for applying and massaging the product. Clever! Interestingly, while the sample had a honey-like scent, the full-size product has more of a pleasant herbal medicine aroma. The price? Well... There's not much to complain about, to be honest. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 1, 2024
I love the rich texture of this cream. It absorbs well without sitting on the surface, and it's not overly sticky or greasy. When applied, it releases a wonderful ginseng scent that I absolutely adore. For an eye cream, it seems to lack a bit in terms of hydration. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 16, 2023
There's a psychological comfort in knowing it contains retinol, which feels like it'll be beneficial. The texture is like a nourishing cream - thick but still absorbs well. It absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky residue. The signature Sulwhasoo scent is subtle and not bothersome. It doesn't have an overwhelming herbal smell, more like a blend with citrus notes. I was hoping for something richer since it's marketed for mature skin, which was a bit disappointing (I have extremely dry skin and wanted something more emollient for winter). After about a month of use, I haven't noticed any significant reduction in eye area tightness. The value for money is quite low. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 8, 2022
There's a distinct air of luxury that Sulwhasoo brand exudes. The traditional herbal scent is certainly present. Personally, I'm fond of Sulwhasoo's fragrance, so it doesn't bother me, but it might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation for others. The cream texture glides on smoothly around the eyes. It doesn't cause pilling when applying makeup, but I do feel like my eye area becomes rich more quickly when I use this before eye makeup. This suggests it's quite nourishing for the eye area. After application, the skin around the eyes feels firm. It seems to fulfill its role as an eye cream effectively. The disappointing aspect is undoubtedly the high price point. Another drawback is the small quantity. It seems that to get the best value, you'd need to purchase it through home shopping channels or online. For a department store brand, the ingredients seem better than expected, but there are still a few less desirable components, which is a bit disappointing.
