After applying it at night, I wake up to find that the stinging sensation has subsided and my skin feels plump. It seems to balance the oil and moisture levels well. The scent is herbal, reminiscent of nature, which might be a hit or miss for some people.

  Some days it works great, but on others, it makes my skin itchy. I checked the ingredients on Hwahae and found that it contains five ingredients not recommended for sensitive skin. Since I can't predict when it will work well, I ended up not reaching for it very often.
