ConsIt's a bit of a shame that there is a slight stinging sensation in the eyes. The price is a bit expensive.

Even for my sensitive skin, using two drops mixed into my moisturizer made it feel hydrated without any irritation.
ConsDo not apply it directly to your eyelids or under-eye area. It stings the eyes.
TipIt's great to mix it with a moisturizer, especially for dry areas.

This time, I have the opportunity to try tamanu light oil, so I want to compare the two products. The first thing I noticed when using tamanu light oil was the scent. Jojoba oil has no particular fragrance, but this product has a delicious almond aroma. Since it does not contain artificial fragrances, the scent must come from the oil itself, and it was not unpleasant to me. I generally prefer unscented cosmetics, but the fragrance of this product was acceptable. In terms of skin irritation, I felt some itchiness around my jawline when I first used jojoba oil. However, with tamanu light oil, I hardly felt any skin irritation from the beginning. It may be because I have already become accustomed to using oils. The oiliness of tamanu light oil feels a bit stronger than jojoba oil, so I was able to apply a smaller amount over a wider area compared to when I used jojoba oil. However, the difference is subtle, and the size of the tamanu light oil's dropper is slightly larger than jojoba oil's, so the comparison may not be meaningful. In terms of moisturizing power and absorption, I did not feel a significant difference between jojoba oil and tamanu light oil. I conducted an experiment by dropping the two oils and water on paper and comparing the absorption time. Although it may be different from the skin, I thought it could be a reference. The first one on the left in the attached photo is jojoba oil, the middle one is tamanu light oil, and the last one is water. After 3 minutes, the water was absorbed the fastest, and after 18 minutes, the jojoba oil was completely absorbed. The tamanu light oil took about 39 minutes to be fully absorbed, which is about twice as long.
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that there is some eye irritation. When I first used the tamanu light oil, my eyes felt stinging and watery all day, and I had to blink my eyes frequently. It's not severe, but it creates a mild and persistent eye irritation. However, after 3-4 days of using it, the eye irritation has almost disappeared. It still seems to cause a bit of eye fatigue, but not to the point where I can't use it. The second disappointment is the price. If I use it as a facial oil in small amounts, it could be okay, but using it as an additive to body lotion and applying it to multiple areas is a bit burdensome.
TipI would recommend avoiding the eye area when using it in the morning or during the day, and using it more at night before bedtime. Especially for men, it may be difficult to avoid the eye area when applying the oil directly, so it would be more convenient to mix it into a lotion and apply it, then rinse it off in the morning as you mentioned. Using it at night before bed seems like a better way to use this product.
