The citric acid (AHA) ingredient helps care for dead skin cells, and being slightly acidic makes it gentle on the skin. It's a water-based toner, so it's lightweight and absorbs well. I found it great for daily use. While there weren't any dramatic effects, it's a solid choice for an everyday toner. It's disappointing that the formula contains fragrance, and it's on the pricier side. The hydration isn't strong, so I'd recommend using it in summer rather than winter. - j1*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 6, 2025
First off, it's a toner that helps with dead skin cell removal, which is great for smoothing skin texture. It doesn't seem to cause any blemishes, so the ingredients appear to be quite gentle. I think the best thing about a toner is when it's versatile, and this one definitely is, which is why I can give it a good rating! There's not really anything disappointing about it, but if I had to pick one thing... it would be the price! At this price point... I probably won't be able to repurchase it. That's because there are so many versatile toners out there, and plenty of cosmetics on sale too... It's great as an exfoliating toner, and it's also good for evening out your skin texture before cleansing. Using it as an exfoliating toner after showering and before cleansing can help reduce deep dryness. - lj*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 5, 2024
As an exfoliating toner, it seems to work even better when applied with a cotton pad. Though it's a water-based toner, it's not too watery! It has just the right consistency and absorbs well into the skin. Being a hydrating toner, it leaves the skin feeling moisturized even after exfoliation, which I really liked. It's a solid choice for smoothing skin texture, removing dead skin cells, and addressing deep dryness. The hydration level isn't exceptionally outstanding or top-tier, and it has a noticeable herbal scent. - gi*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 2, 2024
✔️For combination dehydrated skin, super sensitive skin, shades 19-21 I tried the 'Mild Exfoliating Toner' from Nutexture. As someone with extremely sensitive skin, I was initially a bit scared of using a toner that claims to exfoliate. However, knowing it's a vegan product and gentle, I felt reassured and decided to give it a try on my rough winter skin! The Nutexture Mild Exfoliating Toner has a light, cooling water texture that gently removes dead skin cells from the skin's surface. It's a daily mild peeling toner that refines skin texture, allowing for better absorption of moisture and nutrients. This product contains great ingredients like coriander, which has detoxifying and antioxidant effects to revitalize the skin and help soothe blemishes. It also includes citric acid, which aids in removing old dead skin cells from the skin's surface, promoting a clear and vibrant complexion. Moreover, it contains natural AHA components derived from fruits, such as citric acid, which helps remove stubborn dead skin cells from the skin's surface. Bravo! I found it works well when applied with a cotton pad, almost like a toner mask. Just place it on the skin for a moment, then gently wipe downwards. I'd recommend this to anyone struggling with dead skin cells like me! The downside, if any, is that it's a bit too unremarkable. It doesn't seem to have any standout features. I'm not sure about repurchasing. Try using it as a toner mask. It seems to have a soothing effect as well. - h9*****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 14, 2024
In truth, many water-based toners contain alcohol that quickly evaporates, taking moisture with it. However, the Neutrogena Mild Exfoliating Toner offers a gentle cooling effect while retaining hydration on the skin. I didn't experience any tightness or dryness after use. Despite containing AHA for dead skin cell removal, I was worried about potential irritation. But even with my sensitive skin around the nose due to allergies, I felt no stinging or irritation whatsoever. This gentle formula is consistent across their cleanser and cream too! The subtle herbal scent is pleasant, and after use, my skin feels refined and comfortable. The finishing touch is absolutely delightful. Having tried the toner, cleanser, and cream from this line, I can confidently say they're all gentle and effective. The before and after difference is quite noticeable, making these products recommendable for all skin types. The scent might be a matter of personal preference, and those with dry skin may feel some dryness if used alone. As it's a very liquid toner, it works better with a thin cotton pad rather than thick cotton or double-layer pads. - c7********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 29, 2024
1. Scent The fragrance is very subtle and barely noticeable. There's a slight fresh scent, but it's hardly perceptible. 2. Texture It has a water-like, fluid consistency. 3. Application The absorption is average. 4. Results It helped refine my skin texture even without using an exfoliating toner. I felt like there was less buildup of dead skin cells than usual. Overall, I was satisfied with this toner as it excels in the basics. - ky******Combination SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJan 15, 2024
I love how it seems to clean up my skin nicely. It has a water-like consistency, so I use it by soaking a cotton pad. Compared to regular toners, it gives my skin a cleaner feel. The hydration level is about the same. The price is a bit high for the amount you get. Without a discount, I might hesitate to purchase it. - sp*******Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 5, 2024
This is a decent water-based toner. I'm using it as an exfoliating toner, and I appreciate that it's not irritating and has almost no scent. While I don't expect hydration from a toner, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after use. It claims to have dead skin cell removal properties, but since I don't naturally have a lot of dead skin cells, I can't really comment on that aspect. - 01*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinJan 4, 2024
The scent was so subtle it was almost unnoticeable, and it wasn't irritating at all. I used it as an exfoliating toner, and it felt quite refreshing. I don't think it provides enough hydration for dry skin, and I can't really pinpoint any specific advantages. Maybe because it was a sample, but the dispenser was a bit frustrating to use. I'm not sure if it actually helped with removing dead skin cells. - ah*******Oily SkinRecommendedJan 2, 2024
I tried a sample of this line and I really liked it, even the cleanser! The toner was actually so-so, but it wasn't too light or too heavy, which seemed to work well for my deep dryness. It wasn't bad at all. The disappointing part is that there's nothing particularly great about it. It's a toner you can use in various ways, but the truth is, it doesn't have any standout features.
