If you're looking for a light yellow-toned foundation, I'd recommend this one. The formula is thin and applies in a sheer layer, quickly setting to a semi-matte finish. Compared to Lasting Silk 2, the NARS Gobi has a slightly more yellow undertone. Gobi appears less pale on the skin. It's great for covering redness and evening out your complexion. The biggest drawback is that the nozzle tends to get messy. Also, the internal spring mechanism seems designed to dispense a set amount with each pump, which can be frustrating when you want to use less product. In other words, it's not easy to control the amount that comes out when you press the pump. - rn*****Combination SkinDark CirclesRecommendedSep 26, 2024
I tried the NARS Gobi shade, known for its olive undertone. I used to use Revlon 150 Buff, but since it's no longer available in Korea, I decided to give this a try and it's pretty good! I haven't had the chance to use it yet, so I can't really point out any downsides. I'm planning to apply it over a primer later on. When applying foundation, I like to spritz some mist on the puff. It adds hydration and helps the makeup go on smoothly without pilling. - mi************Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 7, 2024
The skin finish is so beautiful that my friends always ask what foundation I'm using... They borrow it and end up buying their own! It might be a bit drying for those with dry skin, but the glow it gives is so good! - 74********Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedMar 26, 2024
The glow is like a dewy radiance. It can be applied in a thin layer. When your skin is in good condition, it looks truly beautiful. First off, this color is bright but too yellow... I have psoriasis, and when I use it in winter, the staying power diminishes quickly if there's strong wind. It's important to moisturize well. - dk******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 12, 2023
First off, the color matches my skin tone perfectly. I have a yellowish complexion, and most foundations are either too light or have a reddish tint that looks off on me. But this one? It's a perfect match! When I first apply it, I worry it might be too light, but after a short while, it adjusts beautifully to my natural complexion. I'm thrilled! I've tried applying it by patting with my fingers, using a cushion, brush, spatula - you name it. It blends well with all methods. The staying power is impressive too. I barely need to touch up throughout the day! This is the only foundation I've truly settled on and love. The pump is really frustrating... it's hard to control the amount that comes out. I wish it was a bit more hydrating. I have a feeling the ingredients might not be the best...? It's expensive, but I'm satisfied because of how well the color works for me. - pi*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 17, 2023
It absorbs lightly and feels comfortable on the skin. It gives a no-makeup feel and applies smoothly. The color matches my face perfectly. It covers up redness well. It transfers easily and as time passes, oil comes through, causing it to wear off. While it doesn't cause darkening, the longevity is disappointing. After a while, when I look in the mirror, my skin looks shiny and the coverage is quite lacking. This would be great for someone with good skin who wants to apply light makeup. - so********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 5, 2023
I initially bought Oslo, but it was too light, so I got Gobi as well. Gobi is still a bit bright, but I'm satisfied as it blends naturally over time. It's a reliable, go-to foundation. It's just... okay. There doesn't seem to be any standout feature about it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 27, 2023
The adherence is so exceptional that it goes on smoothly, making your skin look naturally flawless! Even when it fades, it does so gracefully. I have oily skin, but I still love using this. Since the formula is quite thin, the coverage is a bit lacking, so you'll need to use a concealer along with it. - ai******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 12, 2023
As expected, the coverage is excellent and it's best applied with a puff. The beige tone is truly beautiful when applied to the face. Even for a summer cool tone using shade 21, it's really fantastic. NARS never disappoints, so there's not much to criticize. Perhaps just the price? It's also really great when applied with a damp sponge. - yy******Dry SkinRecommendedSep 17, 2022
- Perfect foundation for olive skin tones! It's a true ivory color without any redness or ashiness. - Finishes with a dewy glow, making skin look fresh and luminous. - Applies smoothly even with fingers, without emphasizing pores. - Doesn't break down or look messy! It just blends with skin's natural oils and fades gracefully, without clogging pores or looking patchy. - For a hydrating foundation, the coverage is surprisingly better than expected - definitely superior to Sheer Glow. - The pump is problematic. Can't control the amount dispensed, and the cap spins freely, causing foundation to leak. What's going on? - While the coverage is better than anticipated, don't expect it to completely conceal blemishes. As I have extremely dry skin, I apply a bit of Chanel's hydrating stick before this foundation, and it keeps me moisturized all day! I'm too lazy for brushes, but it applies well with either a sponge or fingers - though I prefer using a sponge. I used to swear by Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk in shade 2 as my holy grail, but my skin suddenly reacted badly to it. I've been a foundation nomad ever since, but I think I've finally found my new go-to!
