It absorbs beautifully into the skin. It doesn't cause any irritation and seems great for protecting the skin barrier after cleansing. Using the mini spatula to scoop it out can be a bit inconvenient. However, it's nicer than an oil as it's softer in texture. The amount you get is slightly disappointing though.

I snagged this at a great price during a welcome deal and decided to give it a try. My old cleansing oil was getting a bit long in the tooth, wasn't emulsifying well, and seemed to lack cleansing effectiveness. So, I took a leap of faith with this unfamiliar brand and its balm format - a first for me! The texture is like a soft sorbet that melts instantly upon skin contact. I use the spatula to scoop it out and apply it to my face. Just a light massage with your fingers is enough to dissolve it, and it cleanses quite effectively. After rinsing with water, my skin feels a bit slippery. Personally, I'm not a fan of that sensation, so I follow up with a second cleanse. But that's just my preference, you might feel differently. I haven't experienced any blemishes while using this. If nothing unusual crops up, I might just stick with it for the long haul. The slightly curved spatula was a bit of a nuisance. When scooping and applying the balm to my skin, some product gets stuck in the curved inner part of the spatula. I want to apply exactly what I've scooped cleanly to my skin, but with product constantly left on the spatula, I end up wiping it off with my hands anyway. This makes me question the point of using the spatula at all. As for the packaging, while I appreciate the seal sticker on top, the bottom of the box is oddly flimsy and easy to open. I've never seen packaging designed like this before, to be honest. It seems a bit pointless to have a seal on top when anyone could just open it from the bottom, doesn't it?

I always double cleanse, first with a balm and then with a foam cleanser. This product seems to remove makeup similarly to the other brand, but it feels slightly less refreshing. The other brand leaves my face with a noticeable glow after cleansing, while this one has a bit less of that shine. I wonder why that is! I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive, so I can't use just any product. This one seems gentle and non-irritating. I'll make a final decision after using the whole jar, but for now, I'm not sure if I'll repurchase. While it's gentle and removes makeup well, it somehow feels a bit less refreshing.
