The texture applies like a primer, which is great for hiding my large pores. It doesn't provide any brightening effect, so it might be perfect for those who dislike brightening moisturizers. I also found that makeup applies well over it, which is a plus.
ConsInitially, I struggled a bit with application due to the sunstick's curved shape and sharp edges. I found it easier to use after blunting the edges on the back of my hand before applying it to my face. The formula is so transparent that it's hard to tell where you've applied it, so I ended up spreading it further with my hands. Because of this, it's debatable whether you can truly apply it without touching your face.
TipWhen using it for the first time, I recommend softening the edges on the back of your hand or body before applying it to your face, as the corners can be quite firm and sharp.

Application It applies smoothly without irritating the skin, and provides a slight cooling effect. 2. Product Fragrance I initially thought it was completely unscented, but there's a subtle fragrance that would make it great for body use.
Cons1. Oiliness While it applies well, when I put it on right after skincare, it felt excessively oily, and powder didn't adhere well. 2. Pilling Although it spreads easily, I noticed some pilling on the sides of my face.
TipIt seems less rich when used on the body!

First off, the scent is cotton-like, just as the product name suggests. When applied to the body, it gives off a lovely baby powder fragrance, which I absolutely adore! What I value most in a sunstick is its non-sticky quality, and this one feels completely non-sticky, leaving a powdery finish right after application! However, if you layer it on multiple times, you might feel a slight richness. The texture applies smoothly, though if you rub it too vigorously, it can pill a bit. But this only happens with aggressive application - normal use is absolutely fine. I'm also thrilled that such a great product is vegan!
ConsOverall, I'm very satisfied with this product, so there aren't really any downsides. If I had to pick something, it would be the pilling that occurs when applying with too much pressure, as mentioned earlier. But this is common with most sunsticks, so it's somewhat unavoidable.

While packaging is a matter of personal preference, I really like the clean, light blue design. It's not greasy, feels powdery, and isn't sticky. Usually, many sunsticks feel quite oily, but this one has a powdery texture that allows for a fresh application without any stickiness. It applies evenly without clumping. Some sunsticks are too soft and tend to clump when applied, but this one isn't overly soft, so it doesn't clump easily. The stick format makes it convenient to apply. You can carry it around and apply it easily without worrying about spills.
ConsYou can feel the powder. Due to its powdery texture, you can slightly feel grainy powder-like particles. The edges can be uncomfortable during initial use. When you first start using it, the edges aren't rounded, so it can be a bit uncomfortable to apply at first and may smudge. While it may vary from person to person, there's a slight eye irritation. Although the ingredients aren't bad, I personally experienced very mild eye irritation.

Its gentle ingredients and long-lasting hydration have always impressed me. So when I heard about their new sun care line, I was thrilled - and true to form, Tocobo didn't disappoint! First off, the packaging color scheme is incredibly chic. The semi-transparent sky-blue cap is a feast for the eyes, making me feel as if I'm becoming more radiant just by using it. The texture is quite solid, but it melts gradually upon skin contact, applying smoothly. Unlike some other sun sticks that can feel overly oily, Tocobo's high content of porous powder ensures a soft, matte finish. This means you can apply it without that uncomfortable, sticky feeling! I had been using another sunscreen, but even with a thin layer, my makeup would start to separate a bit as the weather got warmer. Since switching to the Tocobo sun stick, my skin feels much lighter, and my makeup stays put. It's been fantastic!
ConsWhen you first use it, there's a slight stiffness until the product warms up. However, if you glide it back and forth a few times, it melts quickly. Actually, this consistency is perfect - if it melted too easily, it might become messy to apply.

The case fits perfectly in your hand and has an adorably round shape. Scent: It has a soft, powdery scent! But it's so subtle that you have to really put your nose up close to smell it. Even those sensitive to fragrances should be able to use this comfortably. Application: This is what surprised me the most. I applied it to my arms and legs, and it glided on so smoothly and effortlessly that I wondered if it was actually being applied! The sunstick is definitely being used up, so it's working, but I can't believe how well it absorbs! Previous sunsticks I've used would immediately feel sticky and leave a white residue on my body hair, but this one doesn't do that at all. And when you apply it to your arms and legs, you don't get that typical sticky, greasy feeling of sunscreen at all! I'm 100% satisfied.
ConsThere aren't any... If I really had to nitpick, maybe it crumbles a bit? But I think that's because I applied it too hard, not realizing it was already going on. It absorbs so well that I thought it wasn't being applied, so I pressed harder!
TipThis sunstick really lives up to its name. It leaves your skin feeling soft and powdery!

Some sunscreens can leave a residue or feel sticky, but this one feels wonderfully light and powdery. Fortunately, it doesn't irritate my eyes either.
ConsWhile I appreciate the powdery scent, it seems a bit strong for a sun protection product. The soft texture means it can get a bit messy, so it's best to dispense just a small amount. I have a feeling it might run out quickly though.

It reminds me of the scent you'd find in cushion compacts. Personally, I prefer this delicate cosmetic scent over the herbal aroma of the Tocobo sunscreen. It's a fairly neutral scent that shouldn't be polarizing. # Packaging - Just like the Tocobo sunscreen, the light blue case is absolutely gorgeous. The simple design and pastel color make me want to carry it around everywhere! It would look pretty as a decoration too. - When you twist the bottom halfway, it automatically rotates to push the stick up slightly. You can also twist it back to retract the product. I found this mechanism really fascinating and convenient to use. # Texture - It's a solid stick that doesn't melt easily, making it especially convenient for applying on the body. # Finish - It applies transparently, almost as if you haven't applied anything, with minimal stickiness. There's a slight tackiness when first applied, but it quickly sets to a powder-like finish! - This would be particularly great for those with oily skin. # White Cast - There's no white cast at all. It's completely transparent, making your skin feel comfortable. # Vegan Certified - This product is vegan certified. Many cosmetics are becoming vegan these days, and now we have a vegan sunstick too! # Blemishes - I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, but this didn't cause any breakouts. Overall, I'm really impressed with this product. I've been using the Tocobo sunscreen since last month and have been satisfied with it. While the sunscreen feels like a moisturizer or serum when applied but sets to a powder finish, the sunstick has a more matte feel from the start due to its solid form. It applies like a typical sunstick but quickly sets to a powder finish. I really dislike sticky sunscreens and often avoid applying them. A powder finish is absolutely the best! Plus, it's a vegan-certified product with good ingredients and high SPF, which is great. Although I brought both the sunscreen and sunstick on my trip, I found myself reaching for the sunstick more often! It doesn't get on your hands and is easy to reapply - that's the best! The sunstick was really useful during my vacation. Despite the strong spring sun, I managed to protect my skin well using this sunstick.
Cons- Being a solid stick, it can be a bit tricky to apply around contoured areas like the eyes and nose, and it's hard to control the amount, which can lead to clumping. (This seems unavoidable with stick formulations though.) - When using the sunstick for the first time, the edges are quite sharp. It's best to apply it on the back of your hand first to smooth out the edges before applying it to your face. Otherwise, small pieces might break off and stick to your skin. While this isn't an issue for the body, you can't apply it that way on your face, so having to smooth it out first is a bit inconvenient. It would be better if it came with rounded edges from the start!

Powdery finish I prefer stick formulas among sunscreen products. I've tried various sun sticks, and as someone with oily skin who sweats easily, I love sunscreens with a powdery finish. That said, this sun stick is the most lightweight and powdery I've ever used! It's so light you'll wonder if you've applied anything at all. It glides on smoothly at first, then sets to a wonderfully powdery finish after a short while. 2. Sun protection As I mentioned, it's so lightweight that I wondered if it would actually provide sun protection. However, after applying it and exercising outdoors for about an hour in the midday sun without getting much of a tan, I can confidently say it offers effective protection.
Cons1. Application When you first use the sun stick, the edges are quite sharp and angular. Since it's a matte formula, it can feel a bit stiff to apply, and the stick itself is quite firm. So when you first swipe it across your face, those sharp edges can be uncomfortable. The edges do soften quickly, but that initial application might catch you off guard. 2. Scent The fragrance is really bothersome. It has a strong honey scent, which can be quite cloying and sticky-sweet. When you apply it to your body, the honey scent becomes overpowering. It's particularly concerning for summer use when it's hot and you're sweating - the scent could become even more unpleasant. I wish they would change it to a fresher scent or make it fragrance-free.

Stick convenience: The stick format is super handy, as it doesn't leave residue on your hands after applying. I used to find it annoying when sunscreen left a sticky feeling or white cast on my palms, but this stick effectively solves that issue. It's incredibly useful for quick morning makeup routines. 2. Wide application area: Some other brands' sun sticks have a narrow surface, making it time-consuming to cover your face. This defeats the purpose of a convenient stick. Tocovo's sun stick, however, is about 4cm wide and 1.3cm thick, allowing you to cover a large area in one swipe. 3. Fresh scent and texture: The cotton scent is just right - not too strong. When I was younger, I loved intense cotton fragrances, but as I've gotten older, overpowering scents can give me a headache. Plus, using baby-scented products in your 30s can feel a bit awkward. This scent strikes a nice balance. The application is fantastic. I stopped using sun sticks from other brands because of how they felt on my skin. Previous sticks left visible streaks and felt greasy and heavy. This often caused foundation or cushion products to clump up. The Tocovo stick, however, leaves your skin feeling powdery soft. You can't even tell where you've applied it, even after multiple layers. While I find this amazing, I did worry a bit about missing spots because it's so undetectable. That's how light and fresh it feels. 4. Reapplication over makeup: I tried reapplying over makeup (just cushion foundation), and it didn't cause any pilling or smudging. This is great because sunscreen should be reapplied throughout the day for optimal protection. It's not practical to reapply cream sunscreens over makeup, and some sticks can cause clumping. The Tocovo stick seems perfect for touch-ups. 5. Portability: It's lightweight and easy to carry. About the size of a business card and less than 2cm thick, it fits easily in bags or pockets. The rounded edges won't snag on anything either, unlike some tube packaging with sharp corners. **This would be great for men too. The scent is nice, and many men avoid sunscreen because they find it uncomfortable. This product seems perfect for those who find typical sunscreens too heavy. One thing I didn't test was whether it stings if it gets in your eyes when you sweat.
ConsDrawbacks: 1. When you first twist up the product, the shape isn't ideal. The middle is slightly concave, with thinner edges. As you use it, the edges wear down, creating a rounded shape. This caught me off guard at first - those thin edges caused some pilling, making it look like I was exfoliating rather than applying sunscreen. I initially thought, 'Oh no, I've made a mistake.' However, after continued use, this issue disappeared. I think it's due to the initial non-rounded shape. It would be great if the product came with a rounded top from the start, like some multi-balm products. If you buy this, you might want to gently round off the edges before first use. 2. The company logo in red text is quite eye-catching. Product aesthetics matter, and while the case color is great, the bright logo is a bit much. A more subtle color choice would be nice. 3. This could be seen as both a pro and a con, but the product is virtually undetectable on the skin. It's so light that I found myself unsure if I'd applied it properly in areas like around the nose or other contours of the face. While the fresh feel is definitely a plus, it did take me longer to apply at first because I couldn't easily tell where I'd already covered. Overall, I really like this product. Despite a few minor issues, the ease of use makes it something I'd likely repurchase after finishing this one.
