It goes on light like a sun gel, not feeling heavy at all. It's refreshing and lightweight, so I apply it year-round, summer or winter. It's slightly on the oily side, so oil control powder is a must. Make sure to use oil control powder with this. - go******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 6, 2023
I bought the large size to use as a body lotion. It's low in oil, absorbs quickly, and feels refreshingly light on the skin. This is a must-have body product for summer. There's nothing to complain about. I'm completely satisfied with both the price and how it feels on my skin. - ye******Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 1, 2023
- Skin type: Slightly dry in winter, slightly oily in summer. Normal to combination skin with occasional blemishes. - Generous amount of product. - The alcohol in the formula helps counteract the typical heaviness of waterproof sunscreens (though some heaviness still remains). - Removable with cleansing water: Unlike some other sunscreens, this one comes off relatively easily (I use a foaming dispenser with cleansing water, no cotton pads). One cleanse might leave residue, so a double cleanse is recommended for peace of mind. - Staying power: True to its waterproof claim, it has excellent longevity. - Despite reviews claiming it's super lightweight and oil-free, it's vastly different from Biore Essence Sunscreen. - Heaviness: The texture is much heavier, with that typical sunscreen feeling of an oily film coating the skin. - Oiliness: Skin tends to look shiny after makeup application. Might be too greasy for summer use. - Reapplication over makeup: Terrible (I use powder foundation only). It pills badly around the mask area and nose when combined with powder products. Touch-ups are nearly impossible without removing your base makeup. - I'm baffled by the difference between my experience and other reviews praising its lightness. Makes me wonder if I got a fake product (bought from a reputable site though). - Still, it's much lighter than some other organic sunscreens. My expectations might have been too high after using the ultra-light Biore Essence Sunscreen. Despite the reapplication issues, it could work for normal skin types in winter or transitional seasons. The long-lasting protection makes me consider using it for a while, even with the oiliness. - Very slight white cast: It brightens the complexion by about half a shade. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 12, 2022
I was looking for a sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast and absorbs quickly when applied to the back of hands, neck, arms, and legs. Among those I tried, only this sunscreen and the Senka sunscreen perfectly absorbed without leaving any residue on clothes. While Senka didn't offer a large size, this one comes in a generous 155ml bottle, which I'm currently using. Being a Japanese product, it's not easy to find a substitute. I had to purchase it through international shipping. I needed detailed ingredient information, but since it wasn't clear, I had to check it on Hwahae. - im**********Combination SkinRecommendedJul 7, 2022
It has a better brightening effect than an essence! Your face looks brighter even without makeup I rarely get acne, but after using this, my skin developed small bumps... I'll probably only use it on my body from now on - ki********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessJun 12, 2022
Absorbs smoothly and penetrates well. The price is reasonable. Despite being a foreign product, it's easily accessible. You could say it's Bioré's flagship item. I bought it after hearing all the hype, but for me, the alcohol-like scent was too overwhelming. Now I'm using it on my neck instead. - an**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 26, 2022
Bioré offers two versions of their sunscreen, but I think this sun gel version is better because it's a hybrid formula that includes both chemical and mineral UV filters. While the gel texture might not be as moisturizing as a cream, this version still provides decent hydration. It's great for those with oily skin due to its low oil content. There's practically no white cast either! (Any slight whiteness disappears after patting it in a few times with your fingers.) There's not much to complain about, but I'm a bit frustrated that this version is harder to find compared to the regular Bioré sunscreen. I wish it was more widely known so it could be easily available in more places. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 6, 2022
It's so lightweight that even those who usually avoid sunscreen might give it a try! Despite being light, it doesn't feel too drying if you apply a solid base. It adheres thinly, making your skin feel comfortable, and it likely won't pill under makeup. Oh, and it's gentle enough for sensitive skin - no stinging, even around the eyes. The slight brightening effect is a nice bonus! There's a slight alcohol scent when applying. While it doesn't dry out immediately, it seems to become a bit drying over time. Also, it can be a bit challenging to find places that sell it. It's cheaper if you buy it directly from overseas! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 3, 2022
The application feels absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended if you dislike products that leave residue on your face. There's a lingering alcohol scent that gives an uneasy feeling when applying. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedApr 2, 2022
After trying over 100 sunscreens that caused blemishes, I finally found the perfect one for my skin after a decade of searching. It applies smoothly and doesn't feel heavy or greasy, even when I use a generous amount. None. I'm afraid this might be discontinued because I have no other sunscreen options. It's irreplaceable for me.
