This Hwahae-recommended product is a must-have for those who have used up three or more bottles to tackle acne! I'm the type who struggles with chronic folliculitis and skin inflammation! I have to use different products for folliculitis+acne, folliculitis, and folliculitis+damaged skin barrier. This product is solely recommended for acne!! I'm a picky person whose breakouts vary, but I really rely on this product when I only have acne. I've tried other famous acne-fighting products, but I highly recommend this one much more!! I don't use it as a moisturizer, but the gentle formula and soothing properties make it a satisfactory product!!

Pros
I was aware that Houttuynia cordata is good for acne, but I didn't know it was this effective!! On the days when my skin is really messed up due to acne, if I cleanse thoroughly and apply this ampoule before bed, my acne is significantly calmed down by the next day. The ingredients also seem to be great, which is why I've already used up 4 bottles. I really hope this acne-specific ampoule becomes more popular!

There was a time when I could feel the acne disappearing after applying a small amount on the skin and waking up the next morning.
Cons
It tends to slide off a bit. But I think that's just because this is an ampoule, so it can't be helped.

This has been a product I've used consistently over the years, and I've been making one empty bottle per month (based on the small size). The Houttuynia cordata works well for me, and I highly recommend this product to those looking for a hydrating, plumping serum. I had previously purchased this on a YouTuber's recommendation when my skin was severely irritated, and it worked amazingly well for me. I've been using it consistently since my first purchase in 2021. I sometimes try other serums, but whenever my skin gets irritated, I always come back to this calming product. I strongly recommend this to those with severe acne or frequent folliculitis. The Houttuynia cordata extract provides great hydration without oiliness.
Cons
The downside, as I mentioned briefly, is that the size is quite small... A small size lasts me only about a month. The price is also a bit high considering the volume. I'm currently using a larger size, but I still haven't found a suitable replacement (even though I've looked for similar formulas, I always end up coming back to this one).
Tip
When I have severe folliculitis or cystic acne, I layer this serum twice. When using it with other products, it's best to make sure it's fully absorbed before applying the next step - otherwise, it can feel a bit heavy.
