While it was fine to apply the treatment to the lower part of my hair and leave it, when I used the treatment and 'covered it with a cap', it seemed to have a negative effect, possibly because the product seeped into my scalp. When I stopped using it, the symptoms improved somewhat. It's such a shame since the bottle is quite large.

When applied to the hair and left for a few minutes, it does soften the strands! However, compared to other treatments I've used, the softening effect seems a bit weaker.
