1. The ingredients are gentle and non-irritating. 2. I bought it to apply on the back of my hands and arms, and it was especially helpful during summer. 1. It leaves a white powder residue, so you need to spread it with your hands. 2. It's disappointing that I couldn't use it all up because the sunstick stopped coming up even though there was still a lot left at the bottom. You can use a stick or cotton swab to scoop out the remaining product at the bottom and apply it to the back of your hands. - su*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 13, 2023
Sandawha is a trustworthy brand for super sensitive skin. It's a company with a long history. I've had a good impression of them since trying samples from their organic product site back in the '90s. I've used mineral sunscreen sticks from various brands, but this one has the most noticeable white cast among those I've tried. Applying it to your face feels like using a giant piece of chalk, and you can tell the powder particles are quite large. The larger particles actually mean it's less likely to clog pores, making it safer for blemish-prone or super sensitive skin. So from a skin safety perspective, it's truly an excellent product. * Non-nano = Larger powder particles, less pore-clogging. * Silicone-free = Skin doesn't feel suffocated, easier to cleanse. However, it's a bit richer than silicone formulations. While many brands have recently launched mineral sunscreen sticks, widening our choices, it's rare to find one that's both silicone-free and non-nano, making this product even more valuable. Apart from this one, there's an overseas brand called Babo that offers a non-nano mineral sunscreen stick, which is actually cheaper. Sigh. Among various mineral sunscreen sticks, I like this one the most and use it most frequently, so I plan to repurchase. Since Sandawha is a brand for super sensitive skin, I suggest they highlight the 'non-nano, silicone-free' aspects more, remove artificial fragrances, and perhaps update the packaging design for better marketing. This could help the product gain even more love from consumers. With frequent use, it wears down too quickly. Sunsticks seem to be a much bigger expense compared to sunscreens. The regular price is too high to justify purchasing without a discount. - ki******Combination SkinAug 30, 2023
I love that it's a mineral sunscreen, so I can apply it and head outdoors right away. The slight white cast actually gives a nice brightening effect, which I appreciate. It doesn't apply evenly. The particles clump together when you put it on, so you have to rub it in with your hands. This defeats the purpose of using a stick, so I'm just going to switch back to regular sunscreen. - de****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 22, 2023
I'm applying it to my hands and arms. It's brightening my skin and I love it! There's a white cast that makes the skin appear paler, but it doesn't seem to absorb very quickly. - du*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresAug 13, 2023
I love that it's a mineral sunscreen, providing immediate protection against UV rays The white cast is extremely noticeable, which is inconvenient as I have to rub it in again with my hands - kw****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 5, 2023
I love how gentle the ingredients are! I usually get a reaction when I apply organic sunscreens to my face, so I tried this mineral sunscreen stick for the first time and it wasn't bad at all. I chose this one because it has the best ingredients among mineral sunscreens. While the SPF isn't super high, the formula is simple, versatile, and mild. Being a mineral sunscreen, it does leave a slight white cast. There's also a bit of inconvenience as you need to gently rub it in with your hands. Still, it's great for carrying around and using on-the-go. The design is also pretty decent! - as****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 1, 2022
I used to avoid sunscreen after a bad experience with a mineral one that irritated my skin. But I took a chance on the orange Sandawha sunstick based on the brand's reputation, without even checking the ingredients. It worked so well that I bought the blue one when it was on sale too. The blue one is also pretty good! There's a slight white cast, but it goes away if you pat it in. While you can't expect much tone-up effect, I love how portable it is, with a mild scent and smooth application. For me, this type definitely beats creams. As expected... it's not immune to attracting dust. The white stick makes it even more noticeable, unfortunately. If it feels too rich, gently blot with oil-absorbing sheets.
