Pros
There's nothing like this essence in the winter. It has a bouncy, stretchy texture that doesn't feel sticky at all and gets fully absorbed into the skin, leaving a sense of quenched dryness.
Cons
The fragrance is too strong... I think it's because it's a traditional Korean herbal product, but I'm a bit worried it might not be good for the skin..

Before discovering this product, I thought it might be an ampoule or serum based on the product line. However, it turned out to be a lightweight lotion formulation that still provides great nourishment and hydration. Often, traditional Korean herbal cosmetics target more mature customers, so I was pleasantly surprised that this product did not feel heavy, sticky, or oily. Furthermore, using this product from the Saeng line has effectively addressed my persistent dehydration issues. Previously, I had tried various products but could never resolve the stubborn dryness. This product seems to work well not only for dry skin types but also for normal, sensitive, and slightly oily skin that experiences occasional dryness. The Saeng line is focused on elasticity, but I haven't quite noticed the effects yet, as I've only been using it for less than a month.

There isn't really anything disappointing about this product. The price range is reasonable, especially since Missha offers a 50-won monthly coupon for members, and they frequently have sales, making it a cost-effective purchase. As soon as I applied it, I could really feel the strong nourishing and moisturizing effects. It seems like it would be great for dry skin (though it's almost summer... and the author's skin type isn't dry, unfortunately... haha. This was a review from someone with dry skin!).
Cons
I kind of expected it from the packaging, but the distinct herbal scent is quite strong, so I wouldn't recommend it to those who dislike that. And for oily skin types as well.
Tip
It's great to use as part of your nighttime care routine. After thorough cleansing, apply toner, serum, and then this essence - it really replenishes the skin's nourishment.

I was selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer and got to try it out!! My mom and I both used it, and while I felt it had a moisturizing essence-like effect, my mom said she really liked it!! Since it's an anti-aging product, it seems my 50-year-old mom saw more benefits than I did as a 20-something.
Cons
Hmm.. it's a bit disappointing that I didn't feel much of an effect, but my 50-year-old mom absolutely loved the moisturizing feel.

The texture is somewhere between a creamy and watery formula? I'd say it's a concentrated liquid type. The spreadability is really nice and absorbs well into the skin~ Absorption: It absorbs nicely and dense, and it suits me really well so I've been using it a lot^^ Moisturizing: The moisturizing is good too, and when I apply it at night and wake up in the morning, my skin still feels moisturized to some degree. My skin used to be dry and rough, but this cream has solved the dryness issue, so I've been using it regularly. I won the 50ml trial size, and I'm extremely satisfied with it. I'm very happy with it^^

I was selected for the Hwahae Trial Reviewer program and this is my review after using the product. First of all, despite being a Korean herbal product, the scent was not overpowering and I liked it. The texture was just right - not too watery and not too thick, with a pleasant tackiness. After about a week of use, my forehead started to have a healthy glow. (This is a personal experience) I have a dry skin type, but I didn't feel excessively dry even when using this product alone.

The feeling of the moisturizing essence deeply penetrating my dry and rough skin was great. After sufficiently absorbing the nourishing essence, I applied the cream and it didn't feel heavy or greasy, and the moisturizing effect lasted for a long time.
Cons
It has a traditional herbal scent. Although I'm not very sensitive to scents and actually found the essence-like fragrance pleasant, this aspect may be a matter of personal preference.

While this isn't my own unique tip, I find that gently patting the skin before applying the essence helps it absorb better. Lasting Moisture I was pleased with the moisture that lasted until morning. The moisture was so nice that I thought it would be great to use more in dry seasons like fall and winter. Since I have combination skin, I think it might feel a bit sticky in the upcoming rainy season or hot summer when I sweat a lot. There's no oiliness at all, so it didn't cause any trouble or discomfort. I prefer to use a cream to control the oil in the final step, so I'm satisfied with the texture. It's not heavy and has a lot of moisture, so I can apply a lot like a moisture pack without feeling burdened.
