  I've been using this product consistently from November 2024 up until now in 2025.

  Cons

  There's really nothing to complain about. If I had to nitpick, there's a very slight slippery feeling? But honestly, it's not even an issue.

  Tip

  For combination dehydrated, sensitive, blemish-prone, and super sensitive skin that reacts easily and gets irritated with the slightest mismatch. The Pine Tree Cica Serum is a versatile product that works well for all skin types. Those with very dry skin might find it slightly less hydrating, while those with oily skin may notice a bit of richness, though individual experiences may vary. Texture: The consistency is just right - not too thin or thick. It's slightly runny, which prevents dryness and provides a nice balance of moisture. Application: It glides on smoothly, leaving your skin feeling soft and velvety - almost like touching fine, dense fur. Absorption: Even after applying other skincare products, this serum seems to infuse an extra boost of hydration. Lasting Hydration: I didn't experience any dryness the next morning. Usually, my eye and mouth areas get very dry, requiring a mist, but this keeps my skin hydrated for quite a while. Effectiveness: While it may not make a huge difference for large, cystic blemishes, it's great for small blemishes and closed comedones. I especially recommend it for those who wear makeup frequently, have had skin treatments, or experience irritation and itching due to a compromised skin barrier during seasonal changes. How to Use: 1. Press gently to absorb - For this formula, pressing lightly works better than patting for maximum hydration. 2. Apply to hands first - Instead of applying directly to your face, dispense onto your palms and spread it over your hands before applying. (Of course, use whatever method works best for you. I do this because direct facial application can be irritating for me.) 3. Layering & absorption time - Different formulas require different waiting times. For this one, wait about 40-50 seconds between applications, applying 2-3 layers depending on how dry your skin feels. It might seem tedious, but layering before the product has fully absorbed can potentially cause blemishes.

  There's a cooling massage tool available at Daiso for about $3. Using this to apply the product can help reduce facial heat and enhance the blemish-soothing effects.

  This product is seriously amazing! I've bought it four times from Olive Young now. It's incredibly effective for soothing skin. It's so hydrating, and you can actually see your blemishes calming down by the next day. Definitely stock up when it's on sale!
