While it's not made with gentle ingredients, it feels mild on my skin, so I use it in the morning I wouldn't recommend this for oily scalps or during summer. It makes my scalp itchy - wl*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 19, 2023
- Recommended for sensitive scalps (worked well for seborrheic dermatitis) - Doesn't dry out the scalp - Non-irritating - Good lather for a sulfate-free product - Pump dispenser instead of a cap - Cooling sensation from menthol (not irritating or overwhelming) - Scalp gets oily quickly (not recommended for oily scalps) (As this product is gentle, the scalp becomes oily faster compared to other brands. While it's not harsh and doesn't cause irritation, this was a drawback for my scalp, which is neither dry nor oily but somewhere in between.) - Medicinal scent (It smells like a topical pain reliever, similar to what you'd use for mosquito bites. It was surprising at first, but it seems to be due to the cooling menthol ingredient. The scent lingers after washing but isn't overpowering. However, if you particularly dislike this type of fragrance, you might want to reconsider purchasing.) - Value for money at full price is questionable (The regular price is expensive for the volume. I found it on sale for around $10-15, but if it goes back to full price, I might switch to a different product.) I discovered this product while searching for something gentle and non-irritating due to seborrheic dermatitis. It helped improve my scalp condition from severe flaking to a more normal state. After using it, I found its gentleness to be a major advantage, but the trade-off is that it makes the scalp oily faster. This means more frequent hair washing might be necessary, which could be particularly inconvenient during summer months.
