As someone with oily skin, this product is a game-changer for controlling excess oil. It's absolutely fantastic! I used to use the green or mint Physiogel, but I switched to this and I highly recommend it. The only downside is the price... Physiogel was already on the pricier side, and this one is expensive too. If you're looking for a product that works hard to balance your oil and moisture levels, this might be worth the investment. It absorbs well and helps manage oily skin effectively, which can be a struggle for those with combination dehydrated skin or super sensitive skin prone to blemishes. - cl****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 20, 2025
I've been using this for over a year, and it's great - no blemishes and excellent cleansing effectiveness. The only downside is the price - it's a bit expensive, which makes me hesitate each time I buy it. - tb******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 7, 2025
This is unbeatable for acne-prone skin It's great because it doesn't cause blemishes The squeaky-clean feeling makes it perfect for oily skin types It might be too drying for those with dry skin Highly recommended for oily and acne-prone skin types - pr********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 6, 2025
It has great cleansing effectiveness. It's excellent for oily skin. It seems gentle, and I haven't experienced any blemishes. The price is... quite disappointing, and I don't think it would suit dry skin. - ju********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 5, 2025
This product's slightly alkaline nature ensures thorough cleansing effectiveness without causing deep dryness. When my skin is particularly oily, using this cleanser leaves my complexion smooth and my pores feeling deeply cleansed. It's especially gentle on sensitive skin prone to blemishes, causing no irritation even when breakouts occur. What I love most is the absence of any itching or tingling sensation after washing! Despite being a foam cleanser, it produces a rich, soft lather that cleanses effectively with gentle massaging. While I enjoy working up a lather with my hands, on lazy days, pairing it with a cleansing brush leaves my skin feeling refreshed and invigorated. It's particularly effective after a long day of wearing a mask or when you need to thoroughly remove excess oil and grime after being outdoors. Above all, La Roche-Posay is a brand trusted even by dermatologists, making it an excellent choice for those with super sensitive skin prone to blemishes. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone struggling to find a suitable cleanser for troubled skin or those seeking a gentle yet effective cleansing experience. It was disappointing that the salicylic acid content wasn't disclosed, which left me uncertain while using the product. - ch******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedJun 4, 2025
I want to use this product for life! I have combination dehydrated skin with occasional blemishes. After switching from Senka cleansing foam to this, I haven't had any breakouts! It's truly amazing. The texture is rich and there's no irritation! My skin feels much less tight after cleansing. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it, except for the high price. You should stock up when it's on sale. This cleanser seems to be a game-changer for those with sensitive, acne-prone skin. Its gentle yet effective formula appears to cleanse thoroughly without stripping the skin, helping to maintain the oil and moisture balance. The user's enthusiasm suggests it might be worth the investment for those struggling with similar skin concerns. - jl*****Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 14, 2025
My boyfriend and I always use it together, and I even do the second cleansing for him. It's really foamy and has great cleansing power. It's not slippery or drying at all. (Personally, I find that yellow foam cleansers have good cleansing power, but they can leave my skin feeling dry after use.) It's really the case that the better the product, the higher the price, isn't it...? But it's so good that I'm at a loss for words,,, - gh****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2025
Just a small amount creates a rich lather, making it last incredibly long. Its cleansing effectiveness is so good that it might leave your skin feeling a bit tight, so it's not ideal for daily use. However, it's perfect for those times when your skin is excessively oily. The cleansing power is so intense that it can leave your skin feeling somewhat dry. I mainly use this during spring and summer. - sh****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 2, 2025
I alternate between mildly acidic and alkaline cleansers for morning and evening. The Effaclar foam is alkaline, so it lathers well even with a small amount and rinses off quickly. The fresh finish should suit all skin types except dry skin. While the cleansing power and ingredients seem fine, I'm not sure about its effectiveness for blemish care. - ge*************Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 29, 2025
I have oily, blemish-prone skin. I've been using this consistently since my dermatologist recommended it. I usually use a low pH cleansing foam, but I turn to this when I need a deep cleanse. It effectively removes impurities and compared to other mildly alkaline cleansing foams, it's less irritating and doesn't leave my skin feeling as tight. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. If I had to point out a drawback, it might be that the price is a bit high for the amount you get.
