I've been using Hanskin cleansing oil for years, so I was curious about their serum and decided to give it a try. My husband uses Hanskin's Heartleaf line and it seems to work well for him, so that's why I bought this. For my extremely dry skin, it does provide a decent oil and moisture balance. While it might be a bit challenging to use alone in winter, it offers sufficient hydration up until the changing seasons. The formula has a yellow tint, and when I apply it, my skin actually looks a bit yellow? It goes away of course, but I'm not sure what causes this phenomenon and it makes me a bit hesitant. It's moisturizing so I do use it, but I'm only using it as part of my evening routine for now. Hanskin often has sales on 11st, as Olive Young tends to be more expensive. I usually only buy it when there's a buy-one-get-one-free deal. - pu*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 4, 2024
Hmm... It's my holy grail, but the Hwahae score is low...? Even in small amounts, it's deeply hydrating, doesn't cause any blemishes, and is gentle on the skin. When I apply a bit more, it doesn't just sit on top but feels so moisturizing - it's as if my skin recognizes it as nourishment and completely absorbs it, making it its own. I can really feel that perfect level of nourishment... With this level of hydration and no residue left behind, it's become my ride-or-die, permanent addition to my skincare routine. There's no floral or artificial fragrance, just the natural scent of the ingredients, which actually gives it a luxurious feel. I can't help but think it might have been even more fitting if they had packaged it in a black or opaque glass container - that's my only slight disappointment. - mi*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 13, 2024
When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels somewhat softer. It's like there's a slight sensation of hydration being replenished. Apart from a slight slipperiness, it seems fine for both oily and dry skin types. - ye********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 6, 2024
1. Surprisingly powerful hydration, exceeding expectations 2. Rich but not oily, perfect for winter use 3. High-quality ingredients 1. No major drawbacks. While you can get the toner, serum, and cream set for around $30 during social media sales, buying the serum alone can be a bit pricey - nj*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 26, 2023
Clean pump dispenser. Nice balance of oil and moisture, making it suitable even for harsh winter use. While it's not completely drying, it falls slightly short of fully addressing deep dryness. I wish it had a bit more hydration. - du******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMar 1, 2023
The lightweight formula absorbs well and effectively combats deep dryness You need to apply an emulsion or cream after this serum to prevent dryness. The serum alone doesn't provide long-lasting hydration
