That being said, it was quite an amusing experience to have someone stop me on the street to ask what perfume I was wearing!

+ In my opinion, the scent is a tad strong.
While it's described as a sweet floral something-or-other, to me it smells more like baby powder.
If you're a fan of perfumed shampoos, you'll probably be quite satisfied with this.

I was curious about shampoo bars lately, so I decided to give one a try. Surprisingly, it lathers up really well and has great cleansing effectiveness! Oh, and even without using conditioner, my hair felt soft and nice after drying.

My scalp tends to get dry if cleansing ingredients don't agree with it or if a product strips away too much oil. But I didn't have any of those issues with this.

What's more, it's not just a pH-balanced shampoo, but a pH-balanced shampoo bar! I found that quite fascinating. All in all, this product worked really well for me.

I was satisfied throughout my use, but when I alternated it with a hair loss shampoo, I started getting one or two inflammations on my scalp. I'm not sure why this happened.

The fragrance is strong and pleasant. It eliminates scalp odor too. After using the larger size, I bought many mini sizes for portability.

Since it's a soap bar, it can get mushy, so you need to store it in a well-ventilated container

It lathers up nicely in your hair and has a lovely scent that makes you look forward to washing your hair

If you use it in a soap net and rinse it off before hanging it up, it dries naturally and doesn't soften easily.

The only downside might be the price? (They do have sales on their main website though.) Overall, I'd recommend this to everyone!

I was already using the Tone 28 shampoo bar, but I felt it lacked fragrance. This product, however, has a lovely scent, which I'm really pleased with. The cleansing effectiveness is great (I have an oily scalp, and it cleans just as well as shampoo). While it's not a soap that softens easily, it can still get mushy if left in the bathroom. So, I keep it in a soap net and hang it up after use.

If cleansing is insufficient,
shampoo twice or leave the lather on your scalp for a few minutes before rinsing.

Tone 28's baby soap, which can be used as an all-in-one product, also has 'SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate)' as its main ingredient.
So it might be suitable for use not just on hair, but also as a body wash or all-in-one product.

The ingredients of the low pH shampoo bar are 'SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate) + starch + purified water + glycerin + extracts + oils'.
It doesn't have to be Tone 28's product specifically. Consider price, brand philosophy, desired ingredients, fragrance, etc., to make a rational purchase.

While it cleanses the scalp well,
with continued use, my hair became dry,
causing static electricity I never experienced with liquid shampoo.

My secret to maintaining my hair was always using conditioner or treatment to prevent static electricity, which causes hair damage.
But my usual products can't seem to handle this shampoo bar's cleansing power.

The soap started cracking after just two days of use.

Two-month usage review:
After using the shampoo bar for two months, I've returned to liquid shampoo.
I initially enjoyed the strong cleansing power for that refreshing feel, but the excessive cleansing left my hair dry and brittle.
With long hair that I'll have for at least 4 years, and knowing that hair is dead cells that won't recover once damaged, I think it's best to stop using it.
However, it might be suitable for deep cleansing less than once a week.

I hadn't considered washing my hair with a shampoo bar since trying Lush's, but using this one, I found it lathered well and left my hair feeling soft.
It felt like a quality product, not something cheaply made.

Cleansing effectiveness:
Like liquid shampoo, you need to lather it up, but the soap suds rinse out very quickly and don't leave residue on the scalp.
It seems less hassle than liquid shampoo.
My hair feels incredibly light overall.
I planned to alternate with liquid shampoo, but ended up using just the shampoo bar.

Fragrance:
Similar to the old Milk Baobab treatment.
Back then, it made me a bit queasy, but Tone 28's shampoo bar has a gentle soap scent that seems different.
I realized it's the baobab oil scent...
It blends well even with regular conditioner.
I've repurchased it!

It's extremely stiff, to the point where it feels like it's preventing hair loss. For those who say it's smooth... well, I'd give it zero points for shine. However, it works well when used together with a no-wash treatment.

The lather is incredibly rich and abundant. The cleansing effectiveness and all other aspects are excellent.

Perhaps because I have a sensitive scalp, it still made me itchy. Also, it feels very stiff when rinsing. It wears down quickly... which is disappointing considering the price.

It lathers up nicely after a few rubs and seems to have decent cleansing effectiveness.

While it's nice after drying, there's a characteristic soap-like stiffness when washing my hair.

* The scent is surprisingly pleasant. I don't usually use products with strong fragrances, but this one smells delightful when I enter the bathroom, after washing, and while drying my hair.

* Although it feels a bit stiff when washing, I typically don't use conditioner or treatments in the evening. Despite this, compared to liquid shampoos, my hair looks more settled when dry (not quite perfectly styled, but decent). Even after a 24-hour shift, my hair wasn't excessively oily.

Since it softens easily, using a soap saver or mesh bag can make it much easier to use.

The biggest drawback is that it tends to soften easily, so you need to be a bit careful with storage. Also, if the scent doesn't match your personal preference, you might find it a bit off-putting as you can still catch whiffs of it even after showering.

Personally, I absolutely adore the scent. While some people find it strong, I didn't think it was overpowering after showering. I loved that the fragrance had good staying power too. It lathers up nicely, and after washing my hair, it didn't feel dry at all - just perfect! I bought this as my first foray into shampoo bars, and I loved it so much that I'm already using my second one.
