If the application is thick and sticky, I don't really reach for them...just for applying on my arms and legs when traveling, you know? But this product glides on so smoothly and softly, I was really surprised! I can even apply it on my face! 2. ๐ Ingredients & Finish It's a hybrid formula! The moisturizing aspect prevents it from drying out dryly. And it's not oily, so it doesn't slip, with a nice powdery finish! (Perfect for summer use, right?) 3. ๐ Design It's so pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4. ๐ Compact Size I usually carry a mini bag, so I never dare to bring large sun sticks... This one fits right into my bag, so I've been carrying it with me lately^^ I just swipe it on whenever I remember to do so when I'm out.
Cons1. ๐ Fragrance At first, it had a kind of ointment-like scent, which caught me off guard... But after a while, it's not that unpleasant??..ใ ใ
TipI use a separate sunscreen, and I apply this sun stick on the areas that get sweaty or need a touch-up, like under my eyes or the back of my neck. Especially when I'm doing outdoor activities! I apply it to my face, neck, and the backs of my hands. I'll be sure to pack this for my trip to Cebu next week^_^

When you open the gradient lid, there is an inner lid that covers the product, so it seems like the product will last a long time and be more hygienic. The fragrance is one that will likely divide opinions. Perhaps because of the centella extract, it has a scent similar to Tiger Balm, and while not very strong, there is a slight aversion when applying it. The texture is not too thick or too creamy, but a middle type. So rather than feeling dry or sticky, it has a quick-absorbing feel when applied. However, there is some moisture, so patting and spreading it with your fingers to absorb it is necessary since it is an essence-type sunscreen. There was no white cast at all. I also didn't experience any eye irritation, and since my eye area skin is sensitive, I've been rolling it on my fingers and applying it to the eye area. There is also a slightly cooling sensation when applying it. Since I've been using tone-up sunscreens or makeup that doesn't budge due to mineral UV protection (with white cast), applying this shine-free sunscreen felt a bit strange at first, but layering a tone-up cream on top didn't cause it to move. However, the volume and coverage area are on the smaller side, so it may not be suitable for applying to the neck and limbs. I experimented with applying it over cushion foundation, and the base did slide a bit, so it's better to lightly remove it and reapply the sunscreen before layering the cushion (as shown in the last photo). If you only need it in certain areas, rolling it on your fingers and patting it on would be best. When I applied sunscreen and tone-up cream on days when I had a blemish or two, the blemished areas would worsen and spread in the afternoon, but after using this sunscreen, the blemished areas seemed to have reduced a bit. It could just be my imagination, though!
ConsAs mentioned above, the small coverage area makes it difficult to evenly apply to larger areas. The fragrance is somewhat like ointment. It also has a similar scent to medicated plasters.
TipThis would be good to use as a base touch-up in the summer when your base makeup tends to break down easily. Be sure to twist the lid back on tightly after putting the product back in!

I've never tried putting makeup on top of it, so I'm not sure if it would cause any issues.
ConsIt has a bit of that typical sunscreen scent, but those who are prone to motion sickness might find it unpleasant on days when they're not feeling well.
TipApply it thoroughly.

I always carefully check the ingredients before making a purchase. I was selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer and will write an honest review.๐ After rolling it on the back of my hand a few times and applying it to my face, it initially looked a bit oily, but just by patting it lightly, it absorbed into the skin and didn't feel like I had anything on my face.๐ It's so lightweight that I think it would be great to just swipe on bare skin, and there was no creasing when I applied makeup on top of it! The lightweight formula is really nice.
ConsIt has a slight cosmetic fragrance?? which was a bit disappointing ใ ใ And since it's a stick format, hygiene is a bit of a concern^^ Applying it over a dusty face is a bit ใ But I'm still using it by wiping as I go, and for outdoor use, the stick format is the most convenient. It seems to have clear pros and cons as a stick product! I think it would be better in the summer than in the winter!
TipIt's best to thoroughly absorb the base cream first, then roll the sun stick generously over your face and lightly pat it in with the warmth of your hands!! ใ ใ

Compared to the self-made ones I've used before, it feels less sticky, so I think I'll be able to use it well going forward. After applying, it leaves a slight sheen, so it doesn't feel like I haven't applied anything, but this level is not bothersome.
ConsThere is a chemical floral scent typical of sunscreen, which is a bit irritating...I don't think I can use it on my face (but I'm sensitive to scents).
TipIt's recommended to reapply the self-made sunscreen every 2 hours during the summer,,since it's difficult to carry around a lotion type and apply it, try using the balm, everyone.

The cream absorbs completely and applies smoothly. It's not as oily as I expected, which is nice.
ConsIt has a medicinal smell, almost nauseating. The amount is too little...it feels like I'll use it up in a week... For some reason, the container and contents separate cleanly right after opening...

Your makeup won't smear There's a cooling sensation, so when you feel heat, swiping it on makes you feel a bit cooler
ConsThere's a slight cosmetic scent, but it's not too strong You shouldn't shake it with the stick extended - it can fly right out (this probably won't happen often, but I did have it fly out when I was coughing hard while holding it) Of course, you should make sure there are no foreign particles where you apply it - they can get stuck on the stick or adhere to your face
TipSwipe it on when you feel heat indoors Swipe it on before going outside And don't touch it for about an hour after applying! (There's still a bit of stickiness) It's especially recommended for those who find sunscreen application annoying

When I put it on, it felt moisturizing and refreshing, which I really liked.
ConsThe downside is that the amount felt a bit small, and the scent was reminiscent of a grassy smell and a slight medicinal smell. However, the fragrance was mild, so it wasn't unpleasant or uncomfortable.
TipWhen I use it as a makeup base, I just apply a light layer, and then I can use a sun stick, and it serves as both a sunscreen and a moisturizer, so it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and my makeup applies well.

When you open the sun balm lid, there is a separate lid for the sun stick, which is good for hygienic storage of the sun stick. As the product name is 'Cool Water Lite Touch Sun Balm', when applied, it has a refreshing scent and makes the skin feel cool. It's closer to a cool feeling than a refreshing feeling, so I personally think I can use it even in the winter. It's easy to apply without getting your hands dirty, and the moisturizing effect is maintained even after application, so you don't need to apply lotion before using it. And there was no whitening or slipping, which was good!
ConsThe downside is that since the scent is a bit refreshing, it had a menthol-like scent.
TipBe sure to apply it thoroughly to your arms and legs before going out^

There were many samples included along with the main product, and all the samples were packaged in paper, which made me feel the product was even more environmentally conscious. It also had FSC and soy ink certifications. The color and design of the container felt cool and clean. It's easy to hold with one hand, not too big or too small, making it convenient to carry around. The formula is an ivory-colored stick balm that applies smoothly and evenly on the skin. The moment you apply it, you can feel a cooling and refreshing sensation, and it feels like a layer of moisture is being added. It's moisturizing, which is great. There's no heaviness, stickiness, or irritation, just a fresh feeling. With its moisturizing and UV protection properties, it seems like a great product to use in this dry weather.
ConsThe fragrance might be divisive. It has a slight masculine skin-like scent.
TipSince it's a well-moisturizing product, it would be good to apply it once in a while when your skin feels dry.
