It looks like a water toner, but it has a slightly viscous consistency, like mucus. Maybe 80% water, 20% viscosity? Despite this, it doesn't feel heavy and absorbs well.
I have combination dehydrated skin, but with a lot of oil like very oily skin. This toner might be a bit heavy for someone like me. Even one layer feels more intense than a regular water toner, so I'd recommend it for dry weather. For normal use, it seems suitable for normal to dry skin types.

2. Hydration
With 'Hydrating' in its name, I had high expectations. The slightly heavier texture compared to regular water toners does provide good hydration. On my skin, 2-3 layers are enough to skip essence or serum. It also helps improve deep dryness to some extent.

It's fragrance-free.

4. Blemishes
Even when layered multiple times, which can feel a bit heavy along with the hydration, it didn't cause any blemishes.

5. Packaging
It came in paper packaging, and if I remember correctly, without an additional paper case or box. I appreciated the reduced waste. Also, the toner bottle itself is cute.

It's great to use your regular skincare products after applying this toner! You can also use an appropriate amount on clean hands if you prefer.

The scent is a bit medicinal, so if you're sensitive to fragrances, you might find it off-putting.

The Hwahae Testers review! After one week of use

As someone with super sensitive skin and atopic dermatitis, I usually only use mild or low pH products. First off, I used this exfoliating toner after cleansing, and I was able to gently wipe my skin without any irritation whatsoever!

Quantity: 300ml is plenty - it should easily last a few months with generous use.

Hydration: After cleansing, there was no deep dryness at all when I applied it. It felt incredibly hydrating, absorbed well, and left my skin feeling smooth at the same time! I think it would be great for those with dry skin to use as a light layer.

What I liked most was that there was no irritation, and after application, my skin felt really firm and supple.

While the effects weren't dramatic, I noticed a significant reduction in dead skin cells, and with consistent use, I felt my skin gradually becoming more soothed!
