I believe a perm should maintain a firm, intense curl to some extent, and this curl cream nails that function perfectly, which makes me very satisfied. I bought it for my boyfriend to use, but I end up using it more. It's even better than Amos, I must say! The scent is somewhat... how should I describe it? Like musk? There's also a hint of a woody fragrance that's slightly floral yet bitter. I absolutely adore it. Best of all, the scent disappears after about 30 minutes of applying it to your hair, so I just apply it and then spritz on some perfume a bit later, and the cream's scent doesn't linger. I'm thoroughly pleased. I'm especially satisfied with how well it maintains the curl. There are no downsides! The cream is admittedly a bit thick, so there's some residue on your hands after application, but that's true for any hair cream. You can just wash it off, no big deal. For best results, apply it evenly while scrunching your hair when it's slightly damp after initial drying. Then, when your hair is a bit drier, apply it once more while scrunching. It's okay for home use, but the inconvenience of having to wash your hands afterward is still there. Apply it evenly throughout your hair, then use the remaining water on your hands after washing them to revive the waves a bit more. This way, your waves will stay lively all day long.
