To be honest, the only downside, which is typical for matte lipsticks, is that it can clump and settle into lip lines a bit. If you're planning to use it, I'd recommend using a lip mask to remove all dead skin cells from your lips before application.

For a matte lipstick, it applies incredibly smoothly. The shade I use is perfect as an accent lip color. I'm using 221 Mellow Flower, and it's a gorgeous deep dried rose color. The hue is truly beautiful.

Before bed, apply a generous amount of petroleum jelly (the plain yellow kind) to your lips. The next morning, gently wipe it off with a toner pad or mild wet wipe. This helps remove dead skin cells effectively! Then apply lip balm, do your makeup, and finish with the matte lipstick. Even those with dry lips can rock matte lipsticks this way!

If your lips are extremely dry or have a lot of dead skin cells, you might find this a bit challenging to use.
