As with all ambroxan-based fragrances, it's best to wait 3-4 hours after application before deciding whether to purchase. The longevity doesn't feel as good as the scent profile. It's about average for Byredo.

There is a minty aroma that feels like it stings right after application, but it fades naturally within 3 seconds. This is an aromatic fragrance led by sage, and there is no incense/spicy note that would typically accompany it, making it feel more unique. The base is strongly dominated by ambroxan, so those who dislike musk/ambroxan should avoid this.

This fragrance manages to capture the texture of wood while also evoking the scent of cacti blooming in the hot desert. It is not overpowering, however. (It does not have an extremely pungent, woody kick.)

Death is represented as the process of returning to nature, and the refined woody and green notes symbolize this. 

Personally, I also sense a hint of sexiness in this fragrance. A sensual woody scent, almost like the Latin-looking 'sister' dancing in the Despacito music video...

This seems like a great fragrance for the summer in particular.
