I only managed to use the cotton swabs well... *This is just my personal experience, not saying the product is bad! (I do love the Aromatica brand...) My skin had a terrible reaction... It's not that the product is bad, but I think tea tree oil just doesn't suit me... Even when I applied just a tiny bit, the area where I put the tea tree started burning and turned red. It then developed into a rash with discharge, so I had to throw it away... I'm never using tea tree again! *This is just my personal experience, not saying the product is bad! (I do love the Aromatica brand...) Tea tree doesn't work for everyone. While my skin isn't particularly prone to blemishes, I often get stubborn spots around my chin before my period. This serum is incredibly effective at calming those down. Just dab a bit on areas where you feel something might be emerging, and you'll notice visible improvement! It feels a bit harsh on the skin. Unlike other tea tree spot treatments, this one has a slightly oily texture. When applied, it tends to run down the skin, and the scent is quite strong. Also, the bottle opening is frustrating - the product doesn't come out easily, so you have to shake it vigorously. They recommend using a cotton swab, but that absorbs too much product. I tend to get blemishes often, so whenever I felt like one might be coming up, I'd apply this product with a cotton swab. While I didn't see dramatic results, it seemed to reduce the occurrence of blemishes compared to usual. As I mentioned above... there weren't any dramatic effects. It seems to have a calming effect and some antibacterial properties. I find it more convenient to use with a toner rather than on its own. Using it with a cotton swab leads to overuse, but it's difficult to dispense the right amount directly. The specialized cotton swabs are smaller than regular ones, making them convenient to use. I used it on my blemishes, but they didn't subside as quickly as I'd hoped. It's a lifesaver when blemishes pop up. The scent is a bit sharp, but it seems to be effective. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing about it. I don't have any complaints.
