The color is beautiful. I love how it applies with a matte finish. Being matte, it does emphasize dead skin cells, but that seems unavoidable. - eu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinOct 24, 2023
The only positive thing I can say is that the brown shade is perfect for autumn. The glass case makes it heavy. The opaque packaging prevents you from seeing the product's condition. The scent is overwhelmingly strong, making me feel queasy. The color payoff is weak. Instead of adhering to the lips, it just sits on top, creating an odd sensation. Overall, it leaves me feeling quite perplexed. My advice? Skip this one. Only consider buying if you prefer sheer color and don't mind a slippery feeling on your lips! - js**********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 6, 2023
The color is beautiful and it doesn't transfer much, which I love! It feels powdery when applied, but without the excessive dryness, which I really appreciate. I like everything about it, except the glass case. I accidentally dropped it and it shattered... so disappointing. - 19*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 22, 2022
A gorgeous color that deep undertone and deep complexion individuals absolutely adore! It's a red with a hint of orange and a touch of brick mixed in. The brick-like hue creates a perfect autumn and winter vibe. Plus, it feels incredibly lightweight on the lips! It's so lightweight that it lacks a bit of adherence, giving a somewhat floating sensation on the lips. For best results, apply it gently by tapping and patting it on with your fingers. This method ensures a beautiful application without the floating feeling. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 8, 2022
I have a deep undertone in shade 22. I look best with low brightness and low saturation colors, and brown-mixed lip shades are my go-to. ▪️Texture This is a velvet tint that applies thinly and creamily. While many velvet lips tend to build up thick, the Couture Pure Velvet spreads thinly and smoothly. It creates a blurry effect on the lips, effectively concealing dead skin cells without emphasizing them. It seems to contain a lot of oil, so there's no matte feeling or deep dryness, and my lips felt comfortable throughout wear. Thanks to its thin application, it barely transfers to masks. The scent has a slightly sweet, chocolatey note. ▪️Shade 3 Marron Choux This is an autumn lip color with brown undertones that brightens up deep undertone complexions. It could be considered a classic red for deep undertones. It has a luxurious and rich feel, but it's not completely devoid of saturation. This makes it perfect for creating a sophisticated look while maintaining vitality in fall and winter. Although I have a deep undertone, I'm quite sensitive to brightness and saturation, so brick reds and chili shades can be hit or miss for me. The fact that this shows up as a vivid classic red lip on my face suggests it might appear as a darker red-brown color on most people. As it's a velvet lip, the longevity isn't particularly impressive. However, I actually appreciate that it doesn't leave a stain. - gk**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 8, 2022
A soft brown with a medium saturation, reminiscent of a color with a splash of milk added. It's slightly more saturated than Peripera's 'Hip-saeng Hip-sa'. Looking at the texture color alone, it appeared to be a milk-infused brick brown, but when applied, it translated into a rose brown on my lips, possibly due to my naturally reddish lip tone. It's very similar in color payoff to RareKind's now-discontinued Musk Rose, so if you liked that one, you'll likely enjoy this Marron Chaud too. The formula is quite similar to Peripera's Airy Velvet. However, it's slightly thinner and has a more delicate color payoff. Thanks to its moisturizing application, I didn't experience any dryness, and it didn't significantly emphasize dead skin cells. Still, being a velvet tint, proper lip care is essential. It also has better adherence to the lips. Once it sets, there's minimal transfer. The scent is chocolatey, not quite subtle but not overpowering either. The opening of the container is the same size as the applicator tip, which means the opening gets messy every time you pull out the applicator. As someone who prefers a clean opening, I found it a bit disappointing that I had to clean it more thoroughly. Also, while it's not completely low in saturation, it's close to a low-medium saturation with a delicate color payoff. If you only like high-saturation colors, this might not be your cup of tea. Even with multiple layers, the color doesn't build up significantly, so if you prefer high pigmentation, this might appear as if you've barely applied anything.
