For that luxurious, plump, and clear glow reminiscent of tanghulu, this product is the best. It has a lip plumping effect, so after about 2 seconds, you'll feel a cool, tingling sensation on your lips. The formula is quite soft, so when you twist the bottom of the container, it clicks as it turns and dispenses the product. It doesn't retract, though, so you need to use up whatever amount you've twisted up. That's why it's important to twist up just a tiny bit at a time.

I received this as a gift and it's perfect for my deep undertone. The color is beautifully muted and it absorbs really well.

As a product without any staining effect, when applied to the lips, the color gradually faded over time, leaving only a whitish cast that made my complexion look unhealthy. In summer, the formula melted too easily, making it difficult to control the amount applied, and it sometimes transferred to my teeth. While the shimmering glow was pretty, it was annoying when hair kept sticking to my lips on windy days. The short wear time also made it disappointing in terms of user experience. The plumping effect initially made my lips look fuller, which was nice, but the burning sensation lasted for about an hour, which was bothersome. In winter, it even made my lips feel cold.

The subtle rose color was perfect for daily wear, and I loved how the shimmering glow lasted for a long time. Due to its formula, some transfer is inevitable, but the glossy finish seemed to last longer than moisturizing tints. At first, I thought the yellow-gold case looked a bit dated, but when compared to similar melting balms, it actually gave off a luxurious vibe.

The price is quite high and the amount you get is small. That's really disappointing!

Since it's not available at Olive Young, it's hard to see in person, so I bought it based solely on YouTuber reviews. But it's a perfect match for me! As someone with a deep undertone, I'd say this is an absolute must-have for those with olive skin tones!

I found it works well to apply a light base like Hera Matte Lip first, then layer the Hourglass on top. It's better to pat it on and blend lightly rather than applying it too thickly.
