I really wish it came in a lighter shade - I would've kept using it! In summer, it looked decent when applied over a layer of brightening moisturizer with high coverage. But in winter, when I use it over mineral sunscreen, it emphasizes dead skin cells terribly and breaks down...
It's not ideal with organic sunscreens either, as they don't brighten the complexion as well as mineral ones. That's the dilemma...
So I'm on the hunt for other products...
It's great for those with super sensitive skin. I used to break out when I applied it over Physiogel, thinking it was the makeup causing issues. I tried many cushions and other products recently, but saw no improvement. After completely changing my skincare to better ingredients and trying this Bobbi Brown product again... Surprise! All my blemishes cleared up. For acne-prone skin, it seems best to give up on cushions.
While not all cake-like textures work for everyone, this one really suits me perfectly. I hope it doesn't get discontinued... I'll use it for life until then!
It's perfect for oily skin. I don't layer on thick skincare products due to my oily skin. In the morning, I just use a watery toner, sunscreen, and this Bobbi Brown stick foundation. That's it.
My makeup lasts so long! With good application, it even looks pretty as it wears off.
ConsI have really fair skin, but this shade isn't brightening at all... So I use a sunscreen with high white cast. That way, the foundation color looks somewhat radiant on my complexion.
TipWhen doing my morning skincare, I use one sponge to apply toner and sunscreen to my skin. The sponge becomes slightly damp. Then I swipe the Bobbi Brown stick on my face and pat it with that damp sponge - it blends in well.
For touch-ups outside, I carry a separate puff in a case.
In a pinch, I just use a hand mirror to spot-apply the stick where needed and blend with my fingers.
I don't really find it inconvenient at all!
