It's a woody brown with a deep tone and a hint of red brick. While I mentioned it's deep, and it is the deepest of the four I bought, it's not as dark as shown on the official website. Instead, it's more like a faded red-brown, reminiscent of dried autumn leaves - perfect for capturing that fall vibe in a lip color. The texture is truly fascinating. It's too moisturizing to be called a velvet finish, yet not quite glossy enough to be a glow finish. It sits right between velvet and glow. When applied, it feels both moisturizing and elastic. As time passes, a thin, lightweight layer of moisturizing oil rises to the surface. There's no stickiness, so even after eating, you won't feel any tackiness. The glow isn't overwhelming - it's more of a subtle sheen like other moisturizing velvet tints, giving a beautiful finish. Transfer is minimal, with only slight transfer on the inner lips after it sets. This means it has decent staying power. True to its moisturizing velvet nature, it doesn't cause any deep dryness or shriveling. Despite its hydrating properties, it feels lightweight and not at all heavy or suffocating on the lips. The scent is caramel popcorn. It's not overpowering, but it's definitely noticeable, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to fragrances.
ConsSince the colors I bought aren't extremely deep, they don't leave strong stains or patchy marks when they fade. While the transfer-resistance is good enough to withstand drinking, the formula is inherently moisturizing, so it does come off easily when eating or wiping with a tissue. The staining power isn't particularly strong either. Apart from its low transfer and moisturizing properties that prevent dryness, it's quite similar to other velvet tints on the market. The color range is beautifully curated for the fall and winter seasons.
