Compared to the Camellia foundation, this has better radiance and tone. It enhances skin appearance, doesn't accentuate dead skin cells at all, and adheres well to the skin. I use shade BD01. It doesn't cover blemishes well, and it doesn't work with my previous sunscreen, causing pilling when I rub it in. - hi*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinFeb 16, 2025
I bought this based on an employee's recommendation. While it's true that cosmetics can vary greatly from person to person, this product really didn't suit me at all. I've been struggling with skin irritation for a week now. The coverage is practically non-existent. I can't understand why this needs to cost over $200. - dd****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 4, 2024
This is the ultimate foundation - thin, lightweight, and non-irritating. I highly recommend it for those who prefer a dewy and light makeup look. It's said to contain a moisturizing essence without any oiliness. Update: Unfortunately, whether due to the fragrance or dimethicone being high on the ingredient list, I ended up with blemishes on my chin after using it. - eu*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsMay 16, 2024
- Hydrating. Less likely to settle into wrinkles - Looks natural - Initially has a beautiful ivory color - No dryness (recommended for dry skin) - As someone with sensitive skin, it's a bit itchy - Feels slightly oily. This causes it to clump up over time (definitely needs fixing). It's a bit challenging for my skin that's prone to small bumps due to slight oiliness - Expensive... - Turns ashy (significant darkening) This review is from someone who generally doesn't get along well with Chanel cosmetics Instead of this, use that money to buy the Sublimage concealer and mix it with a thin foundation or oil(?) to apply only on the T-zone. I have no choice but to use this mixed with concealer - ji**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 13, 2024
After first using it alone and going for a walk, I thought I was getting claustrophobic because it settled into my pores. But the next day, when I applied it properly after skincare and set it with powder, it lasted long. It's great for my combination dehydrated skin as it doesn't get too oily and doesn't dry out. The coverage is better than I expected. I actually find this Chanel foundation to have much better coverage than the Givenchy Skin Care Glow foundation. Givenchy's strength seems to be how well it blends no matter how you apply it, while Chanel's forte is maintaining a luxurious glow without getting greasy. YouTubers all said the built-in brush wasn't great, but it applies really well and quickly. The problem is... it's a bit harsh on the skin. It's surprising that a brush can be so uncomfortable. The BD01 shade is honestly light for a 22, but as time passes and it blends with other makeup, it does give a radiant look. When repurchasing, I think going a shade darker would really bring out this foundation's strengths. It's quite expensive... The quality at this price point... hmm... It's a price that makes me hesitate. I wish they'd either improve the brush or just leave it out... - xi****Dry SkinDead Skin CellsMar 18, 2024
It's incredibly lightweight, yet surprisingly effective at covering pores. It makes your skin look naturally flawless. Unfortunately, it irritates my skin... I had high hopes because of the price, but I'm disappointed. The shade is also quite unfortunate - it's reddish and dull. While Ultra Le Teint was comfortable on the skin and had a beautiful color, this one is just moisturizing. It doesn't measure up to Ultra Le Teint. Applying it with your hands or a damp cushion puff gives the most beautiful finish. - je*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 14, 2024
After using matte foundations like Double Wear, Teint Idole, and Power Fabric for over a decade, my skin couldn't handle them anymore last fall, probably due to aging. They would separate, break down, and clump - it was a disaster! I discovered this dewy foundation while searching for a moisturizing option. Despite the high price, I bought it after checking the ingredients, as I have combination dehydrated and sensitive skin. As someone with an odd yellow complexion that fluctuates between shades 21 and 23 depending on my skin and body condition, I initially bought B10. It looked slightly off (probably due to its pink undertone), so I repurchased BD01. It's a bit light, but since it's not a heavy, cakey foundation, you can achieve a radiant look with proper application (I use concealer for coverage). I also tested a cream foundation, but its heavier texture caused a blemish exactly where I applied it that very evening. I don't expect excellent longevity and adherence from a hydrating foundation, so I'm satisfied with this one. It looks much better on my skin than Double Wear! As time passes, the glow that comes through as it mixes with my natural oils is beautiful. (I finish with a light dusting of powder) Applying with the included brush works best. The price... around 210,000 won... Even though it's 40ml, it's still expensive. Mixing it with a bit of Ultra Le Teint slightly improves its staying power. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 2, 2023
I'm completely satisfied with the color, skin appearance, and fragrance. Even when it fades, it still looks beautiful. The price, the price, the price, the price, the price, the price, the price, the price, the price, the price... - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsOct 3, 2023
The texture is soft and it provides decent coverage. It doesn't really brighten the complexion. It's hard to expect a radiant skin look from this product. - mi*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 11, 2023
- Even for oily skin, it breaks down beautifully. - It applies thinly and transparently. - It's prettier than other Chanel foundations as it has less of a yellow undertone. - It's slightly darker than my complexion, so I wish there were more color options. - It might be too much to use alone in summer.
