It has a wonderfully lightweight and velvety texture. The price is quite steep for a primer that doesn't deliver exceptional results. - to********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 13, 2024
As a beauty junkie, I come across cosmetics info from various sources. I've heard that primers, due to their nature, are difficult to produce cheaply if you want quality. While some say primers aren't great value for money, and I do feel a bit of sticker shock, I don't have major complaints about the price. It's worth it for how well it improves skin texture and blurs pores without any pilling. I've tried many primers that seemed to cover pores at first but then pilled or broke down messily during makeup application. The Hourglass product doesn't do that, so I'm really satisfied using it. I bought it duty-free this time, so I might wince at the price next purchase. Still, it's a product I want to buy again! While some say primers aren't great value for money, and I do feel a bit of sticker shock, I wish it were a bit cheaper. However, I don't have major complaints about the price. Applying it with a spatula works great! - co******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 6, 2024
Overall impression: A miracle for covering uneven skin texture! It's incredibly convenient since you don't need to worry about controlling the amount. Even if you squeeze out a bit too much and just roughly massage it in, it goes on smoothly and evenly. No need to stress about ruining your makeup due to using too much primer. No matter how you apply it, it gives a soft-focus effect as if you've used a blur filter. As for covering uneven skin texture... it truly works miracles. I'll let my before and after photos speak for themselves... I usually try not to complain about prices, but... it is indeed expensive. Apart from that, I couldn't find any other downsides! They also sell smaller sizes, not just the full-size product, so it might be a good idea to try that first! - an********Oily SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 15, 2024
I tried a sample and loved it so much that I bought the full-size product. Usually, after a few hours, my makeup breaks down or I get really oily, but when I apply this before makeup, it significantly reduces oil production and keeps my makeup intact. It's also great that it doesn't transfer onto my mask. The price is quite steep... There are two sizes available for the full product. I'd recommend getting the smaller size since it lasts a long time even with regular use. - qu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 20, 2024
It absorbs smoothly and leaves a silky finish. After application, you can definitely see a difference in your pores. It's quite effective. The price is too high for the amount you get. I can't help but wonder if a primer should really cost this much. Try the 10ml size first to test it out. - mi********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 30, 2023
The oil control is fantastic - it eliminated my greasy shine! I'm amazed that my makeup stays flawless until night. It really works hard! The downside is that after prolonged use, the product tends to solidify inside the pump, making it slightly difficult to use. You can customize the texture and feel by mixing it with your foundation or hydrating base, depending on your preference. It's great for layering! - qw******Oily SkinOct 22, 2023
The emulsion-like texture applies smoothly and silkily. I appreciate that they offer a small 10ml travel size, which is great for testing before committing to a full-size product. While it seems to enhance the skin texture nicely, I didn't see much improvement in pore coverage. Unfortunately, the formula didn't agree with my skin - after applying the primer, I experienced intense dryness and a tingling sensation in the areas where I used it, which was disappointing. - wa********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedSep 17, 2023
The primer highly praised by acne-prone skin influencer Inssi. I've been quite sensitive about my skin texture due to large pores and uneven skin, trying all sorts of primers with my base makeup and cushions. I now understand why it received such high praise. Simply put, if my skin were rough gravel, this primer feels like laying smooth silk over it. To be honest, those with just slightly noticeable pores might not be as impressed. You really need to have that 'gravel-like' skin to truly appreciate this primer's magic. Besides this product, the only other primer that worked well on my difficult skin was Armani's 'UV Master Primer', also known as the face corset primer. While that was good too, it didn't seem to hold up as well against extreme summer sweat and oil. I often noticed the primer and foundation melting and clumping around my nose. This product, however, lasts long. It has great staying power and stands up relatively well to sweat and oil. After trying a sample, I immediately bought the largest size available - 55ml. While it's functionally superior, it does contain PEG and phenoxyethanol. I wouldn't recommend it for those with sensitive skin. I should only use it on important days, but now it's become such a staple that I use it almost daily. I should try to rely more on health supplements instead. Once you get a taste for this, it's hard to give up! It is on the pricier side, but you can currently get it at a 25% discount promotion. They also offer a mini travel size. - ha********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 7, 2023
It applies smoothly like a cream, not stiff like some pore-minimizing products I'm not sure about any dramatic effects, and it's quite expensive
