I have sensitive skin with rosacea. I am particularly vulnerable to oils, heavy oil-based products, strong vitamins, and alcohol ingredients. My pores are a concern, and as I've aged, my oil production has decreased, and my skin has naturally improved. When I apply sunscreen, it causes breakouts, so I'm looking for a sunscreen without allergens. The recent Hera blue bottle sunscreen seems to work best for me! When I use Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent lip products, my lips peel. The Nuxe natural honey lip balm also causes peeling. Biafine lip balm is the one that works best for me. I stock up on Biafine! For my hair, I prefer a clean, fresh finish rather than a moisturized feel after use. I tend to prefer hair essences over conditioners or rinses. Since my skin tone is slightly lighter, I like to mix in other darker foundations or powders to get a better match. Despite its name, it seems very matte and would be great to use in the summer. - si**********Normal SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 19, 2025
I absolutely adore you, Guerlain L'Essentiel! When I've laid down a solid skincare base, it's like gliding on ice. Even my mom can't tell I'm wearing makeup - she just says my complexion looks great. And trust me, my mom only speaks the truth to me. It's so natural that there's no darkening, but it's equally greasy on both the applied and non-applied areas. With no coverage, I'd only recommend this for those with sunken cheeks who want to even out their face. It's possible to apply a solid skincare base and pretend you're not wearing makeup. It really works! But not everyone believes it. My family isn't the type to lie. When I wear this, they keep asking if I did a triple mask routine yesterday and can't stop touching my face - it's driving me crazy! - je*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 22, 2025
It's moisturizing and long-lasting. I found it even better than Chanel Sublimage. None. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I'm extremely satisfied. It has great staying power and doesn't cause darkening. - eu*****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJan 30, 2025
This foundation is perfect for those who want a natural yet radiant look, as if it's your own skin, with a luxurious glow. It smooths out your skin texture, making your complexion appear incredibly healthy. Even after wearing a mask, it doesn't break down messily. It covers pores well, enhancing your overall skin condition. The staying power is also impressive - when used with a fixer, it maintains a flawless finish all day long, which is very satisfying. This product is equivalent to a Korean shade 21, which means it's darker compared to similar shades from other brands. - ys********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 13, 2025
I have extremely dry skin. I've been using Guerlain foundation for 4 years, and I love it so much that I'll keep using it in the future. When I apply it, I mix it with La Roche-Posay balm, which makes it even more hydrating and wonderful. It's bright and radiant, making my complexion look clear and luminous. While it doesn't completely cover blemishes, I appreciate how thinly it absorbs into the skin. - ri*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 21, 2024
The best thing was that there was no darkening. At first, I thought it might be too light for my skin, but it becomes natural over time! The price is on the higher side compared to other foundations. However, a little goes a long way! - 79*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJul 22, 2024
After exclusively using Armani foundation, I started considering ingredients and performance. I spent nearly a month comparing and researching before choosing this foundation. The result? For my deep undertone, the 0N shade is a perfect match and stays beautiful all day long. Even when it fades, it does so gracefully. I'm thoroughly satisfied with this foundation. Comparing ingredients, I found it to be one of the better options in terms of performance and formulation among foundations. It's not so much a drawback, but I'd recommend a matte finish over this glow for very hot summer days. Matte formulas seem to hold up better against sweat. - wi*******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 2, 2024
It stays moisturizing for a long time. The coverage is excellent. Even with just a thin layer, it can cover blemishes all day long. The fragrance also lasts well. It seems that if you moisturize your skin well before application, it applies better and lasts longer. Using it alone without proper skincare can lead to patchiness, unfortunately. It works wonders if you apply plenty of hydrating cream and moisturizing pads, and consistently exfoliate dead skin cells. - ji****Normal SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 6, 2024
Great coverage and adherence, and best of all, it fades beautifully without darkening even after hours of wear! The only downside is the high price tag. But I'll keep buying it anyway... - dw*****Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 25, 2023
This foundation is perfect for my combination skin with a dry face and oily T-zone. I usually apply it with a cushion puff, and it covers pores amazingly well. The coverage is medium to high, making it ideal for daily use. You can build up the coverage by layering. Despite being a glowy foundation, it doesn't transfer much onto masks. The high price point is a bit of a drawback. While it's so good that I want to carry it around for touch-ups, the packaging isn't very portable.
