The fragrance is initially satisfying. However, the base vanilla scent is so intense it's like having the lingering taste of overly sweet chocolate at the back of your tongue and throat after eating without brushing your teeth. The hydration is decent for summer. But it might not be enough for fall and winter. For reference, my palms are extremely dry. Please increase the hydration level for a winter version. It's so hydrating! I have dry skin, and I find myself reaching for this often because it's so convenient to carry around and apply on the go. I was thrilled to find this at Olive Young! As a part-timer, my hands were constantly exposed to water, leaving them terribly dry. I knew it was time to invest in a good hand cream. As soon as I walked into Olive Young, the Type Number caught my eye. Drawn in, I sampled the scent and was immediately captivated by its rich musk fragrance with hints of wood - absolutely divine! While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, I fell in love with this scent and had to buy it. After applying it, my friends noticed the pleasant aroma and asked what I was wearing. When I showed them the hand cream, they found the direct scent a bit heavy, but my coworkers were sold and wanted to purchase it themselves. Scent preferences aside, the hydration is phenomenal. I adore this fragrance so much that I carry it with me to work and apply it religiously, even after quick bathroom breaks. I actually own the #12 as well! The scent is just too good! This is hands down my favorite hand cream... In my 22 years, I've often found hand creams uncomfortable and avoided using them, but this one has completely changed my mind. It's a game-changer! There's not really anything disappointing about using this product, but if I had to mention one thing, it would be that the packaging is similar to an ointment tube. This makes me a bit nervous about it tearing in the middle while using it. It absorbs well without feeling sticky. The stylish packaging would make it a great gift too! The initial scent is quite strong, but the lingering fragrance is actually nice. At first, I thought the scent was too strong, with an overpowering cedarwood fragrance that I personally didn't like. But as I used it, I realized the lingering scent is really lovely! It's not too sweet and leaves a woody aroma, so I'd recommend it to wood scent enthusiasts! I have very dry skin, but I'm quite satisfied with the hydration it provides, except during the depths of winter. The packaging is also beautiful, making it great for gifting! The hydration is truly excellent, and my hands don't dry out even after washing. The scent is absolutely my style - it's not an artificial woody fragrance, but just the perfect woody scent that's pleasant to smell! The packaging is really disappointing. It bursts and tears easily, causing everything to leak...

It has a pleasantly neutral, well-executed woody aroma that's not overwhelmingly heavy. It's suitable for winter but won't feel too intense even in summer. Unlike some woody scents that mix in moss, earth, rain, leather, or musk notes, this one is more refreshing. With a hint of floral notes blended with wood, it reminds me of a morning forest. While I have very dry skin and the hydration is just okay (not unusable though), the lovely scent makes up for any shortcomings. I'll likely use it to the last drop and have about an 80% chance of repurchasing. The lid is frustratingly small and doesn't screw on easily, often requiring multiple attempts to close properly. It's quite annoying! They should really switch to a flip-cap design for easier opening and closing. For those craving a heavier woody scent, try mixing this half-and-half with Flovea's Hinoki Leather hand cream. I'm a big fan of musk scents, so this was perfect for me. It provides great hydration and the fragrance lasts quite well! It's like 75% musk and 25% woody scent. The woody notes are quite strong at first.
