It's moisturizing and doesn't leave any patchiness! I have sensitive skin, but it didn't cause any blemishes or reactions. Since it's a hydrating type, the staying power isn't very long, so I had to set it with powder. Also, please note that it has very little coverage. - pa****Dehydrated SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 25, 2025
Perfect coverage and adherence. Even for extremely oily skin types, it stays intact despite heavy sweating. If applied incorrectly, it can set and become difficult to spread. Be cautious as there are many counterfeit products on the market. - ra****Dehydrated SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 30, 2024
The glow is beautifully radiant and the coverage is excellent. It works best when you have a solid skincare base. It sets too quickly. Other than that, I'm not sure. If you're careless with your skincare, the makeup doesn't seem to apply as well. You don't need much - just apply a thin, thorough layer of toner, emulsion, and sunscreen. Use a spatula to lightly scrape the product, then pat it on with a damp puff for the best application. - zh******Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 16, 2024
It absorbs well in a thin layer without drying out the skin, focusing more on comfort than coverage! I love it and have been using it consistently. The staying power is quite short, unfortunately. When I need to touch up, I always make sure to have a cushion compact with me! - al********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 4, 2024
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, hardly any blemishes, textured T-zone with excess oil, and redness with yellow undertones, here's my review after one use: I applied this over Estée Lauder Double Wear Primer in Lavender using a flat brush, and here's what I noticed: 1. It gives a cool, brightening effect without making your face look unnaturally pale or floating. It's as if your naturally fair skin just got a boost. 2. Surprisingly good at covering redness and neutralizing yellow undertones. The coverage exceeded my expectations, which is great since I'm mostly concerned with evening out my complexion. 3. While claims of 'egg-shell smooth skin' are exaggerated (that requires naturally good skin), this comes close. It significantly improves skin texture, making it look clear and clean. It's the best I've tried for minimizing pores and smoothing out the T-zone, which has always been a struggle. Now I understand the Estée Lauder hype. 4. After 9 hours including skating, commuting, eating, and napping, it held up amazingly well. Usually, other foundations would have broken up, pilled, or oxidized by now. But this still looked clear and radiant, with just a bit of shine on the T-zone and slight redness showing through. The longevity and wear are impressive. 1. The price is steep. I bought an unopened secondhand one online to save money. 2. Despite claims of being hydrating, it feels more matte than dewy, probably due to the powdery primer. It's not too drying, but I miss the glow. However, the T-zone smoothing makes up for the lack of radiance. 3. After removing, I got one blemish on my forehead and some irritation on my chin. I have sensitive skin that reacts to many products, though Chanel never caused this issue. I have a light, deep undertone, but the cool-toned foundation actually brightened my complexion. If you have yellow-toned skin, a cool foundation can neutralize it for a fresh look. Recommend using a flat brush instead of a pore brush for application. Definitely test it at a department store before buying. I did a half-face test with a competitor brand at one counter, then asked a different sales associate which side looked better without telling them which was which - they chose the Estée Lauder side. The attached photo was taken about 6 hours after testing. Note that I removed the competitor's foundation and reapplied, which may have caused some minor blemishes to appear.
