It's nicely moisturizing and easy to use. It feels like a refreshing hydrating cream.
ConsTo be honest, I don't fully understand my skin type yet, so I felt it was a bit drying for me...

I'd definitely use it again if I had it.
ConsIt keeps leaking out. I don't know why, but it flows out on its own even without pressing. The price is legendary - I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't on sale.

The results were great! 1. The cream has a perfect consistency - not too thin or thick, and it absorbs well. 2. It claims to soothe skin from external irritants, and it's so gentle that there's no stinging or itching at all. 3. It has a subtle, natural herbal scent reminiscent of mugwort or grass, which I prefer to artificial fragrances. 4. It delivers on its main promise - after evening cleansing, I applied only this cream without toner or serum, and woke up without any dryness. 5. The packaging is refreshingly simple, with no excess.
ConsNothing particularly bad to mention. The scent might be divisive, but it doesn't stray far from my preferences. Some reviews complained about the tube packaging, but it's similar to other skincare products I use occasionally, so it doesn't bother me.
Tip1. If you apply too much, it can feel a bit heavy on the skin initially, but it does eventually absorb. 2. While the product seems focused on soothing benefits, I think it's also great for addressing deep dryness, even for those with relatively resilient skin like mine.

I didn't have high hopes since it's for acne-prone skin, but it felt just right - not too light, with a pleasant level of moisture that made application enjoyable. As someone with combination skin, I didn't experience any tightness, itching, or dead skin cells flaking off. While the scent isn't my favorite, it has a clean, healthy smell that didn't bother me during application. I also used it on my body where I had some itching and blemishes, and while it wasn't a 100% cure, it did help calm things down. The packaging looks like a hand cream and it's not too big, making it perfect to carry around. I keep it in my purse or bag when I go out or to work. It's light enough for oily skin types, and unless you have extremely dry skin, it should provide enough hydration even when used alone. I saw some improvement in skin soothing and it prevented new blemishes from forming. Although I received this as part of The Hwahae Testers, I would definitely purchase it again when I run out.
ConsThe hand cream-style packaging could potentially tear if you're not careful. While I don't mind the fragrance, those with super sensitive skin might not find it pleasant. However, if you're not too bothered by scents, the product's effectiveness will likely outweigh any fragrance concerns!
TipI love that the product isn't too big, making it perfect as a portable option to carry around. I use it on my face, and occasionally on my body when I feel itchy or dry, or on my hands as a substitute for body lotion or hand cream when they're feeling parched.

The texture is slightly opaque, neither too runny nor too firm. It's practically fragrance-free. With winter here, I've been focusing more on hydration. Layering creams often led to makeup pilling and oiliness, but skipping them left my skin painfully dry. The Herbology cream offers just the right balance - it's not greasy yet provides adequate moisture. Another winter woe is dealing with blemishes from using multiple skincare products to combat dryness. This cream satisfies both oil control and hydration needs while being gentle on sensitive skin. It's definitely one of the best creams I've tried. I also appreciate its vegan certification and use of smart farm-grown ingredients! It's a great option for those who are conscious about these aspects.
ConsThough I haven't used it for long, the aluminum container doesn't spring back when pressed. Initially, the product flowed out continuously with a slight press, but that hasn't happened since.
TipDon't just apply it haphazardly - make sure to massage it in thoroughly for absorption. You'll wake up the next day with glowing skin!

For context, I have sensitive and dry skin (with some small bumps and a few blemishes around my mouth and chin), while my sister has combination skin leaning towards oily. Firstly, it absorbs wonderfully while feeling refreshing on application. The smooth and light texture initially made me think, 'Is this really a cream?' I was skeptical about its moisturizing power due to its non-rich feel, but after applying, it left my skin feeling firm and plump, providing instant hydration. That 'Wow, this is nice!' moment was the first big plus. If you dislike heavy, suffocating creams, this is a must-try! It applies like an emulsion, making it perfect for those with oily skin too. Secondly, it's a great daily product that doesn't cause makeup to pill! Despite its light texture making me worry about insufficient moisture, my oily-skinned sister didn't feel any tightness or dryness throughout the day! As for my dry skin, I experienced slight dryness, so the next day I applied thin layers multiple times on my cheeks and once on my T-zone (forehead and nose). That worked perfectly! It's light but not light on hydration. I think it would be great for those who are hesitant about using creams in winter! Both of us felt that it had effects similar to Dr. J*** Cica***, but at a lower price point and with a truly refreshing application. Plus, no annoying hair-sticking issues and no makeup pilling! Recommended for: - Acne-prone/combination skin - Those who dislike heavy creams but still want good hydration
ConsFor my sensitive and dry skin, it's not a complete moisturizing solution, but it was quite effective in soothing sensitive spots. My oily-skinned sister found it to be an excellent moisturizing and soothing product! I plan to use it more, so I might add updates later.
TipBefore bed, apply generously and reapply a few times on blemish-prone areas. You'll definitely notice those spots calming down by the next morning!

As someone with dry skin, I've always been scared of using moisturizers because they often leave my skin feeling parched. But this one surprised me. While it's not incredibly light or refreshing, it has a slight stickiness and moisturizing effect similar to Dr.G's soothing cream. It provides a nice hydrated feeling and overall, it's a solid, versatile product.
ConsAs for downsides, I can't really think of any specific issues. However, I'm a bit unsure about its main purpose. It's a decent soothing cream, but it doesn't seem to particularly excel at calming the skin or anything like that.

Cons- The scent could be improved (personally, I prefer herbal scents, but this one has only a faint herbal note. It would be better if it were completely unscented or had a more refreshing herbal fragrance) - While I like the tube packaging, the material is prone to creasing and tearing if not stored or used properly. It would be nice if this could be changed
TipIt's non-sticky and moisturizing, making it great for applying after removing makeup and before touch-ups

It's a gentle cream with good absorption and no blemishes! The tube packaging is great for those with acne-prone skin, as it allows for hygienic use until the very end. The texture isn't thick, more like a slightly runny emulsion, which makes it absorb well. Its balanced oil content should work well for combination dehydrated skin. At first, I thought it might be too light for winter, but once applied, it feels comfortable without any deep dryness. The product page claimed it balances oil and moisture, so I hoped it might help with my persistent whiteheads - and it did! The texture on my cheeks improved, and an angry blemish under my left eye calmed down without even using a spot treatment. Now there's just a slight redness left. Before using this, my forehead just above my eyebrows was exploding with pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads, but after using this, they've all disappeared! There's barely any trace left now. While it improved my whiteheads, I found it particularly effective in soothing blemishes. I'd recommend this to those with dry skin experiencing breakouts due to seasonal changes affecting their oil and moisture balance.
ConsThe packaging is like a sturdy tube similar to Aesop hand cream, which might crack with use. As it nears empty, it would be nice if it were a PP material tube that could be cut open for thrifty use, but this product doesn't seem suitable for that without a tube squeezer. Also, it's not extremely hydrating, so those with very dry skin might need to add an oil.
TipThere's no special tip really. Just applying it morning and night was effective for me.

As the weather gets drier, T-zone is oily but U-zone is very dry. Warmth and redness on cheeks. Thin, sensitive skin but has become more stable. Occasional small bumps on forehead, chin blemishes before menstruation. • Texture: Heavier than other creams? Not too thick, so it absorbs well! My usual evening routine is 'serum or ampoule - cream - occasional sleeping pack'. Thinking the texture might be drying, I added a hydrating gel before the cream when not using a sleeping pack, and it didn't feel tight. My usual morning routine is 'toner - serum - cream'. I use a mineral sunscreen, which can get a bit dry over time. So I added a small amount of this heavier cream to my dry cheeks and U-zone before sunscreen, and it worked well. It seems perfect for combination dehydrated skin, but those with dry skin might need additional steps. • Scent: There's a very faint herbal scent, but that might just be me being sensitive to smells! Consider it unscented! My sister, who used it with me, liked that it was fragrance-free. • Other: Good ingredients, vegan, absorbs well with no pilling. 221223 Update ++ I thought being mild and versatile could be both a pro and a con. But its versatility makes it great for mixing with other high-concentration functional ampoules.
Cons• Packaging: Like a common hand cream I personally dislike the small twist-off cap...! It's inconvenient to stand up, and even when you do, it's more likely to fall over compared to wider caps if bumped...! +Others mentioned continuous leaking, but I didn't experience that. Maybe because I squeezed out a lot from the start... haha 221223 Update ++ As I'm nearing the end of the product, the bottom part is too hard to squeeze out... • Price: Regular price is 37,000 won for 70ml Discounted to 29,000 won on Hwahae Honestly, with other creams in a similar price range offering discounts and sets, I wonder about its competitiveness. • Function: It's non-comedogenic and suitable for acne-prone skin. Claims to improve oil content, non-inflammatory/inflammatory acne, and sebum, but I didn't notice much effect (maybe because I didn't use it for over 4 weeks). It's just a 'very gentle' 'non-irritating' cream 'suitable' for acne-prone and sensitive skin, not a product that gives strong functional effects. Unless you have extremely sensitive skin and are looking for a very mild, moderately moisturizing cream, I'm not sure if people would seek out this product. It doesn't have specific functions for blemish calming, firmness, pores, brightening, or wrinkles, which could be seen as either a pro or a con. I worried this might be too harsh, but when I consider 'Would I repurchase this consistently to finish multiple bottles?', for me, it was just so-so? A safe choice.
TipIf you layer it like a toner, it feels much more hydrating. It feels like it's fulfilling moisture rather than oil. Make sure to let it absorb fully before layering! Build it up gradually! If you want to add functionality, you can mix in a few drops of your usual ampoule, or if it feels too dry, mix in a drop of oil.
