So, a Scalp Therapy Shampoo? Well, that's intriguing! I've been under so much stress about hair loss lately that I've been exclusively using anti-hair loss shampoos. But knowing it's from Atopalm, a brand I trust and love, made me even more excited to try it. As someone with genetically thin hair that's only getting thinner with age, I've become quite anxious about washing my hair. Every time I shampoo, I have to clear the drain after the first wash because it gets clogged with fallen hair. Then I proceed with a second wash. Of course, having long hair contributes to this, but the amount of hair loss is still alarming. I've only been using it for a few days, so I can't claim that my hair has stopped falling out or that my hair loss symptoms have visibly improved. What I loved most was, first and foremost, the fragrance! It's a subtle yet fragrant floral scent. It's not overpowering at all, reminiscent of the natural, delightful aroma you'd encounter in a flower garden or botanical park. It's quite different from the overly sweet, strong scents often found in children's 2-in-1 shampoos. This one, designed for adults and especially pregnant women, has a much more subtle fragrance. The scent profile includes a base of cypress and vetiver for a cozy earthy and woody aroma, middle notes of basil and anise for a subtle freshness, and top notes of clementine and mandarin peel for a zesty twist. While I'm familiar with some of these scents and others are new to me, together they create this subtle, natural, and refreshing fragrance. Another thing I appreciated was the squeaky-clean feeling on my fingertips even during the first shampoo! My hair is dry and straw-like, but my scalp tends to be oily, which can be challenging. However, when I massaged my scalp during the first wash, I could feel that satisfying squeaky sensation on my fingertips. It indicates excellent cleansing power! Yet, it didn't feel harsh or require vigorous scrubbing. Just a gentle wash left me feeling refreshed. Also, it doesn't create excessive foam, making it quick and easy to rinse out. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that unlike most anti-hair loss shampoos, this Maternity Shampoo doesn't provide that cooling sensation after use. I assume this is intentional to make it gentler for pregnant women.
