A couple of years ago, I became a devoted fan of the Hydrating Emulsion after seeing my child's atopic dermatitis improve almost magically with just one or two applications. Something about it just clicked with my child's skin. After all the energy, time, and money spent chasing dermatologists at university hospitals, we've finally escaped the cycle of washing bloodstained bedsheets. Back then, my child was using prescribed ointments and emulsions from the dermatologist daily (we only used oral medication briefly for severe flare-ups). I bought Cetaphil because it was a large bottle with a pump, making it easy to apply, and I knew it had safe ingredients. When I tried it myself, I noticed it left my skin feeling moisturized without being heavy, and there were no harmful ingredients. So, I started applying it to my child after showers (they were in 5th or 6th grade at the time). The next day, I could feel their inflamed skin calming down. The intense scratching reduced significantly too. Long story short, the atopic dermatitis disappeared. While I don't think everyone with atopic dermatitis will have the same results as us, I'm leaving this review on Hwahae hoping our experience might help someone else.
ConsI also like that it's fragrance-free. I have combination-dry skin, and for my face, I found the Moisturizing Emulsion to be lighter and more suitable than the Hydrating version.
