This was super convenient when I'm in a rush in the morning. * Scent It's not irritating and very gentle. I can't quite describe it, but it's so mild it's almost unscented. * Non-irritating I have super sensitive skin and usually experience some irritation for a few days when switching cosmetics, but I didn't have any issues with this one.
Cons* Light texture While the texture is similar to a toner, which makes for quick absorption, it doesn't keep the skin hydrated for long. It might be fine in summer, but it can feel a bit dry for winter use.
TipSince it's a serum, I apply a cream over it. I found that mixing in a tiny bit of oil before application keeps my skin moisturized for longer, which works great.

I usually prefer a fresh feeling over a sticky one, and this serum has a thin, almost watery texture that's easy to apply without feeling heavy. I used it during a time when I was experiencing a lot of blemishes, and after about 3-4 days of use, I noticed it had a calming effect! Overall, I was satisfied with its performance. I think it would work great as a toner replacement in the summer!
ConsBecause it has such a fresh feel, it felt a bit drying now that it's winter. It's a shame that it's more suitable for summer use!

After applying this product carefully to my reddened skin, I was amazed at how quickly it calmed the redness. The water-based formula absorbs well and isn't sticky at all, which is exactly what I prefer. It's perfect for my super sensitive skin!
ConsMy skin is typically combination but leans towards dry, and in winter it becomes extremely dry. Initially, this product felt quite hydrating, but it seemed to dry out faster than other products I've used. If you have dry skin, you'll likely need to apply a generous amount of moisturizer immediately after this absorbs.
Tip- Use for calming redness (works well even on larger areas) - For those with dry skin, quickly follow up with the next step in your skincare routine after this absorbs (The drier your skin, the more swiftly you should move to the next product)

I usually have to test new cosmetics with tiny amounts, making it really hard to find products that suit my skin. Fortunately, I've found a few ingredients that work for me, and this product contains Centella Asiatica extract. With no concerning ingredients, I felt confident using it consistently for about a week. Usage experience: It has a slightly viscous texture but absorbs quickly into the skin. I really dislike products that leave residue, and sticky serums tend to cause more blemishes for me. However, this serum felt light and absorbed well. Scent: It's practically fragrance-free. Blemishes: I was worried since it was my first time using this product and there weren't many reviews. Thankfully, it didn't cause any blemishes, and I noticed some improvement in deep dryness and soothing effects. I tested it from around my mouth to my cheeks, and my skin didn't react negatively. Looking at the ingredient list, there are no concerning components, which made me feel it's a gentle product! The price of about 23,000 won for a 50ml serum seems quite reasonable. If I notice more benefits after finishing the bottle, I'd consider repurchasing.
ConsWhile it applies lightly, the hydration seems a bit lacking. It might work better when used together with a moisturizer.

To accurately assess the effects, I maintained my usual skincare routine, only adding this serum. True to its name as a 'Cica Calming Serum', its soothing power was the most noticeable feature. While it didn't significantly impact small bumps, it definitely had a calming effect on whiteheads and blemishes with redness. Even without using spot treatments, some whiteheads subsided, and areas where I had popped blemishes seemed to heal faster than usual. The texture is incredibly lightweight, almost water-like with just a hint of viscosity, and it absorbs extremely quickly. I appreciated how well it harmonized with my other skincare products without any pilling issues. It's also fragrance-free.
ConsDue to its water-like consistency, it offers very little in terms of hydration or moisture. For winter, you might need to add another layer of the Cica Calming Serum, and even in summer, I'd recommend incorporating it into your existing routine unless you have extremely oily skin. It simply doesn't provide much hydration. While there's an initial feeling of moisture when applied, it quickly absorbs leaving no residue whatsoever. This didn't bother me, but some might find this aspect disappointing. Also, while its soothing effects are excellent, it didn't show any ability to prevent blemishes.

Subtle fragrance - It's practically unscented. You won't notice any strong smell. 2. Non-sticky texture - The slightly runny formula initially drips when applied, but once absorbed, it leaves your skin feeling firm without any stickiness. 3. Excellent absorption - It spreads easily without feeling heavy or sticky, and you can feel it sinking into your skin nicely. 4. Soothing effect - I have super sensitive skin, but with consistent use, I could visibly see some raised blemishes starting to subside. 5. Gentle on skin - As mentioned, I have sensitive skin, but I experienced no tingling or itching sensation at all.
Cons1. Very thin consistency - While this might be ideal for those like me who dislike sticky or heavy products, others might consider the runny texture a drawback. 2. Hydration level - The serum isn't exceptionally moisturizing, so you may need to follow up with a more hydrating emulsion to prevent flaking. It feels hydrating at first but tends to dry quickly.
Tip1. Mist toner - Spray your regular toner on your face using a mist bottle. 2. Toner mask - Apply a suitable toner mask to your face and wait for 12 minutes. 3. The Hwahae Testers' Serum - After removing the toner mask, apply the serum to your face, focusing on absorption. 4. Emulsion - Finish with an emulsion that works for your skin type (recommend a richer emulsion than the serum).

The serum absorbs incredibly fast, making it perfect for summer - no stickiness at all! I recently bought another brand's ampoule with my own money, but the dropper didn't pick up much product. This one, however, has an excellent dropper that works perfectly!
ConsThe absorption is so quick that you might later wonder, 'Did I even apply anything?' It could leave your skin feeling dry, especially in winter!
TipThat's why I highly recommend following up with a hydrating moisturizer after using this serum!

ConsMaybe because I have combination dehydrated skin, even when I apply it generously, it feels a bit dry after it absorbs completely.

The Centella Serum: As someone who responds exceptionally well to Centella, I'm thrilled to have found this gem! I had been avoiding my previous go-to Centella serum after its reformulation, so discovering this fantastic alternative is a real treat. Although I didn't see dramatic changes due to my skin already being in good condition, I did notice some soothing effects. You can see in the before and after photos how my blotchy skin has calmed down. I'll definitely reach for this when my skin needs some TLC! This was my introduction to the brand Mui through The Hwahae Testers' Centella TECA Calming Serum trial, and I've come away with quite a positive impression. Application and Absorption: The standout features for me were how easily it spreads and how quickly it absorbs! Despite its thin consistency (which I'll mention in the cons), it glides on smoothly and sinks in rapidly. What I love most is the clean finish - no sticky residue on my hands, just pure, effortless absorption. It's fantastic! Volume & Price: It's great that this comes in a generous 50ml size, as most serums are typically 30ml. I checked the website and found the price quite reasonable too. I'm definitely considering a repurchase when I run out! Fragrance-Free: There's virtually no scent! While I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, this would be perfect for those who are.
ConsDryness: If I were still in my early 20s with extremely oily skin, I would have adored this. However, now I find it a bit too drying. I anticipated some dryness due to its quick absorption, but it was more than expected. That said, some might appreciate its lightweight feel - it could be perfect for those seeking a refreshing product! Overly Thin Consistency: The thin texture that contributes to its easy application and quick absorption, as well as the dryness I mentioned, was a bit disappointing for me. When using a serum, I usually expect a bit of that satisfying 'bounce', which was completely absent here. It's so runny that I found myself wondering if it was actually a toner rather than a serum... It's even thinner than what we call 'runny nose skin' products. It truly just flows. This isn't necessarily a flaw that needs fixing - it's just a characteristic of the product. It would be ideal for those wanting rapid absorption and a light finish.
TipI typically don't stick to just one serum, but rather keep several on hand to choose from based on my mood and skin condition each day. I think I'll set this one aside for now and bring it back out when the weather warms up - it'll be perfect for those hot days!

Due to my combination dehydrated skin, I apply three layers of Dr.G moisturizer. I occasionally get blemishes when I'm tired, though not frequently. Skin prone to redness with slight acne scarring 1. Ingredients As someone with sensitive skin who always scrutinizes ingredients before purchasing, I was thrilled with how gentle the formula is! The number of ingredients is just right, and Centella Asiatica Extract is at the top of the list!! Centella Asiatica Extract works well for me personally, so while using this, my skin calmed down and ultimately looked brighter. 2. Packaging Given how fluid the formula is, the dropper is more convenient than a pump. There's a satisfying pop when you press it. 3. Soothing effect While testing this product, I accidentally overused a peeling gel one day, leaving my skin raw. Even my usual gentle skincare products stung when applied, but this didn't sting at all! Later, I noticed some red spots under my skin, but after applying this serum for 2-3 days, the stinging subsided and the spots quickly faded. The soothing effect is absolutely real! 4. Absorption I prefer to apply serums in three layers, and this one absorbs incredibly fast! It's not heavy at all, just super fresh!! This serum perfectly embodies the phrase 'feels fresh then absorbs completely'.
ConsFirst off, the texture is thinner than what you might expect from something like Innisfree's Green Tea Serum. So it tends to drip down quickly. You might be surprised by how runny it is at first, so you'll need some liquid control skills. It was too drying for me... It seems they didn't include moisturizing ingredients since it's a soothing line rather than a hydrating one.... The lack of hydration is slightly disappointing for the current season. However, if you layer a balm-type moisturizer over this serum, it works well with makeup!
TipMy evening routine: After cleansing - pad - moisturizer - serum (3 layers) - panthenol cream My morning routine: After cleansing - pad - moisturizer - serum (2 layers) - Dewytree 5-minute mask - moisturizer - sunscreen I use it this way. Since this product is a soothing line and panthenol aids in skin regeneration, they work well together. After my nighttime skincare routine, I sleep deeply, and when I wake up, my complexion looks different from the start. I highly recommend using it with panthenol!
