Pros
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers for this product. It was my first time trying the Ottie brand, and it came just when I needed a peeling pad. With the dry weather lately, dead skin cells seem to build up more frequently. While I can't do an intense exfoliation too often, I've been relying on creams to keep flakiness at bay. However, when I apply makeup, it tends to look patchy. That's where this product came in handy! It's great for gentle exfoliation. For those with super sensitive skin like me, using it every two or three days or when you notice dead skin cells building up works well. Also, this is just my personal preference, but I love how it leaves no residue and finishes with a fresh feel.
Cons
The gauze texture is quite rough, which can be quite irritating. Even with gentle use, it stings around the cheeks and mouth area.

Pros
The difference between the embossed side and the gauze side is quite noticeable. I haven't seen many products with such a stark contrast, but this one really stands out. The gauze side is genuinely rough, which would be perfect for those seeking intense dead skin cell removal. It's likely to be a love-it-or-hate-it product. For me, the gauze side was too harsh for my face, but it worked well for removing dead skin cells on areas like elbows and knees. The embossed side is gentle and doesn't irritate the skin at all. I tend to use the embossed side more frequently. +23.01.03 Update / The most crucial effect: At some point after using it, I started feeling like my skin had improved. It feels smoother, like a peeled egg 🥚. My skin was already pretty good, to begin with, but I noticed my makeup went on even better. I think it might be due to the regular exfoliation (with the same skincare routine). My foundation, which used to apply decently, suddenly started to blend in beautifully. The case is sturdy. While the large container size is a bit inconvenient, I appreciate its overall durability. Especially hygienic is the clip storage on the lid. The ingredients are great. These skin pads for dead skin cell care contain no concerning ingredients. The pads make exfoliation convenient. When I use the pad for exfoliation in the evening and wash my face in the morning, my skin feels noticeably softer. I occasionally get some flakiness around my brow area or beside my nose, so I focused on those areas. While I didn't notice any dramatic changes immediately, I believe it's effective. They recommend using it 1-2 times a week, but once a week was enough for me. Since I didn't use it many times during the review period, I plan to continue using it and update my review later. As someone sensitive to scents (I dislike artificial or strong fragrances), I found this pleasant! It's neither artificial nor overpowering. It has a subtle, herbal scent that's so faint you can barely identify it.
Cons
The gauze side feels quite rough, which was a bit disappointing for me as I prefer a scrub that's between the embossed and gauze textures. I didn't notice during use, but from the next morning and for 1-2 days after, my skin felt very tingly... Those with thin or super sensitive skin should avoid the gauze side. The case is unnecessarily large, which is inconvenient. It could be a bit smaller to match the size of the pads.
Tip
Please avoid using it around the eye area. I unknowingly used it near my eyes and it stung terribly.

Pros
I love the two-in-one effect, and the container is incredibly efficient! You can even reuse it by adding cotton pads with essence or toner after you've finished the product. It's great that you can store the pins hygienically at home too! The soft embossed part seems to have an excellent soothing effect. After gently massaging, if you leave it on your face for about 30 seconds, the hydration effect lasts even longer.
Cons
The gauze part for exfoliation is too harsh on the skin. If you rub gently, it doesn't remove impurities effectively. The most disappointing part is that you need to press a bit harder to see the yellowish impurities being removed.
Tip
Use it after showering when your pores are open and impurities are softened - your skin will feel incredibly smooth afterwards! For maximum hydration, leave the embossed part on your face for about 30 seconds after use.

As one of The Hwahae Testers, I don't like writing reviews after just one day of use, so this is my feedback after a solid two weeks of use. Please keep in mind that I have dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin. While I don't have acne-prone skin, I do get blemishes if I can't keep up with exfoliating or if I use too many rich products. My skin texture is generally good. 1. Purpose-driven usage Being a dual-sided pad, the gauze side was definitely great for removing dead skin cells, while the embossed side was perfect for evening out skin texture daily. 2. Gauze side Building on point 1, the gauze side was excellent for managing flaky skin, especially during these dry winter days! I can honestly say it's effective with consistent use. Also, for those dealing with ingrown hairs, give this a try! It really works. 3. Packaging Nowadays, many brands are including tweezers with their pad products, but unlike others, this one has the tweezers attached to the lid. This makes it super convenient when you're in a rush in the morning - you can grab a pad quickly without getting your hands dirty. The semi-transparent container is also great as it allows you to easily see how much product is left. 4. Hydration I use these pads as a toner substitute, and they provide just the right amount of moisture, making them a pleasure to use.
Cons
1. Gauze side I often use the gauze side on areas prone to dead skin buildup like the nose and chin, but it's definitely too rough and irritating for these sensitive facial areas... I'll stick to using other pads for exfoliation. 2. Blemishes Before this product, I was using pads from Cos***, and I didn't have any breakouts then. But with these, I'm experiencing a significant increase in blemishes, which suggests they might not be as effective at removing dead skin cells. You might think 'Just use the gauze side!', but it's too painful on the face... 3. Size When you receive it, you'll notice the container is quite large, but the pads themselves are relatively small in comparison. This means it takes up a lot of storage space unnecessarily. Personally, I think it might be better to increase the pad size. I mainly use them on areas like elbows or fingers where the skin gets dry or flaky, and they feel a bit small for body use.
Tip
For best results, try gently rubbing the gauze side on areas like elbows, heels, and knees while you have a face mask on.

Ottie Scour Peel Pad Quantity: 50 pads / Regular price $22.90 Dual-sided pads I've tried many types of pads, but these are surprisingly large and thick. I haven't used many dual exfoliating pads before, but I love this idea. It's especially helpful for winter when dead skin cell management is crucial. The ability to use different sides for different areas is so convenient! Hydration It removes dead skin cells while adding a glow, leaving your skin looking like a peeled egg - you can really see the difference in your complexion! Four green ingredients It contains the famous AHA, BHA, PHA, and LHA, allowing for one-step exfoliation care. There are also many hydrating ingredients... the formulation seems excellent! Various extracts It contains glutathione, sea buckthorn fruit extract, and other extracts for vitamin care. Mildly acidic I didn't know this, but the pad has a mildly acidic pH similar to healthy skin. It's been proven non-irritating in tests on 30 people! Packaging The container is quite large compared to other pads. The pads are thick due to being double-sided. The lid seals well, so you don't have to worry about them drying out. It comes with tongs and a holder, though the tongs don't seem very durable.

1. Large pads I initially thought the pads would be too small for body use, but they're actually huge and perfect for the body!!! 2. Gentle exfoliation While one side has a rougher gauze texture, the other side is soft cotton, allowing for gentle exfoliation on both face and body!! It seems to have helped smooth out skin texture and even slightly improved keratosis pilaris~! 3. Generous amount of product At first, I thought it wouldn't be moisturizing since there wasn't excess liquid like other pads, but it's incredibly hydrating!! I left it on my hand briefly, and it felt silky smooth and moist. It's actually better without the excess liquid - easier to take out and has just the right amount of product on each pad~!
Cons
1. Tweezer attachment I thought the tweezer attached to the lid for hygienic use was a great feature, but it doesn't stay in place and keeps falling off, making it practically useless..ㅠㅠ 2. Gauze side The gauze side is much rougher than expected, causing redness and stinging even on tougher skin like the nose or stomach.. I think it would be better if both sides were soft! I only used the gauze side once or twice and then completely avoided it..
Tip
Great for smoothing skin after a shower! Use the pad all over your body, then apply an emulsion for super soft, moisturized skin.

Pros
The Hwahae Testers review: I loved how my skin became super soft without even needing to exfoliate! Unlike most pads where it's a bit tricky to distinguish between sides, these were really easy to tell apart! One side has a tightly woven, thread-like texture (I'm not sure how to describe it) that's rougher, while the other side is soft. Using the rough side first, then following up with the soft side leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth~ As for the scent, I have allergies so my sense of smell isn't great, but it wasn't overpowering at all. I think even those sensitive to fragrances could use this comfortably. The included tweezers made it super convenient to take out one pad at a time! The pad size was pretty standard, and I found the thickness to be just right - not too thick or thin, which I actually preferred! Also, I appreciated that the lid doesn't need to be twisted open, making it more user-friendly.
Cons
I'm not sure if I'm just not placing the tweezers correctly, but they kept falling off when I tried to use them. Also, the rough side is quite abrasive, so if you have sensitive skin or have recently exfoliated, it might feel a bit uncomfortable.
Tip
It's probably best to avoid using the rough side around the eye area.
