My skin type: Oily, combination dehydrated skin I thought a regenerating cream would be difficult to apply and feel heavy, but surprisingly, this one glides on smoothly and absorbs well. I appreciated the balanced oil content. As someone with oily skin, I've found that using only oil-free creams can lead to deep dryness and even more oil production. However, when I apply this cream before bed, I wake up without that excessive oily sheen. There's a noticeable improvement in my skin's condition. It's hard to explain, but it feels like my skin barrier has been strengthened... My skin just feels more resilient overall.
ConsYou need to be careful with the amount you apply. Especially for those with oily, acne-prone skin, using too much could be problematic. I got a bit carried away thinking it was lightweight and applied too much, which resulted in a couple of tiny pustules the next day. In my opinion, the price is a bit steep. It's more reasonable during sales or special promotions, but paying full price feels like a bit of a gamble.
TipThe Hwahae Testers would likely appreciate this detailed review of the regenerating cream, particularly the insights on how it works for oily, combination dehydrated skin. The review touches on key aspects like absorption, oil control, and skin barrier improvement, which are all important factors for The Hwahae Testers to consider. The cautionary note about application amount for acne-prone skin is also valuable information for fellow users.

I didn't realize my barrier was damaged and kept getting folliculitis, wondering why. After using this, it's improved a lot!
ConsYou need to apply the right amount and use the proper method to avoid blemishes. If you apply too much, you'll get skin issues. I actually bought it in winter and got blemishes, so I put it away. Then someone told me not to apply it liberally, so I looked into it. The instructions say to use a small amount, and the product page suggests applying it to the back of your hand first instead of directly on your face. When I tried that method, even though the weather got warmer, I'm actually using it well now.
TipRemember to always patch test new products and follow the application instructions carefully to get the best results and avoid potential skin irritation.

It's amazing...
ConsI'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but I feel like I'm getting some small bumps or blemishes, almost like millet seeds. I wonder if it's because of the toner?
TipWhen dealing with seasonal skin changes, it's important to focus on hydration and strengthening the skin barrier. If you notice any new blemishes or texture changes, it might be worth monitoring your skin's reaction to new products. Remember, what works for one person may not work for another, so listen to your skin and adjust your routine as needed.

ConsAs time passes, the oiliness becomes too noticeable, and this may be the reason why I'm getting milia.

Highly recommended for dry skin!
ConsIt causes skin rashes... My face turns red and itchy. Strangely, this only happens with the cream, not the night product.

As someone who occasionally experiences allergic reactions, I find it particularly effective in soothing itchiness. I practically use it like a medicinal ointment.
ConsIf you apply too much during the summer months, it can sometimes lead to blemishes.

The original B5 was quite difficult to apply due to its ointment-like thickness.
ConsMy skin completely flipped out. I've always had sensitive, blemish-prone skin since childhood, so I've always been cautious about skincare. As I entered my 20s and 30s, my skin didn't dramatically improve, but it seemed less sensitive than before, which made me let my guard down a bit. Was that the problem? The first night after applying this, my cheeks became slightly red, and most alarmingly, my eyes were extremely swollen. I was shocked but thought it might be due to something I ate. I didn't even suspect the product because I'd never had issues with other La Roche-Posay products before. The swelling subsided after about an hour. The next night, I applied it again before bed. While lying down, I started feeling itchy around my mouth. Again, I didn't think it could be the cream and just tried to ignore it. But when I woke up in the morning, I was horrified. Not only were my cheeks and the area around my lips red, but my eyes were so swollen they looked like fish eyes. It was awful. I tried using my cooling stick from the freezer for a massage, but it didn't help at all. For the first time ever, I had to go to work wearing a hat. There's no dermatologist near my workplace, so I went to a general practitioner first thing. I got an injection and a prescription. The doctor confirmed it was an allergic reaction and advised me to only use a hydrating moisturizer and avoid any ointments on my face. Now I'm just relying on the medication. (You can see in the attached photo how swollen my eyes are...) The area around my lips still stings, my face feels tight all over, and my eyes are still just as swollen. While the original La Roche-Posay B5 never caused any issues, this is the first time I've had such a severe reaction to a skincare product. I'm at a loss for what to do with the remaining cream.

It's good, but there's a slight ambiguity about it.
ConsI noticed a few small blemishes appearing, but other than that, it's fine.

Reason for purchase: I bought it during an Olive Young sale because it's famous as a panthenol cream! 2. Features: The texture is rich and applies with a thick consistency, feeling a bit heavy. There's no strong scent, which isn't bothersome. It definitely provides great hydration!! 3. Recommended skin type: Due to its rich feel, I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin. It's suitable for very dry skin and even combination dehydrated skin in winter. 5. Repurchase: Planning to buy again only for winter use
ConsAs it's heavy, it can cause pilling and feel like it's sitting on top of the skin. It's very season-dependent, so it might be too much for summer use. Depending on your skin condition, it could potentially cause blemishes
TipBefore bed, apply small amounts multiple times, gently patting to help it absorb. It's also good to apply lightly only on dry areas (around eyes, mouth) rather than the entire face! I recommend using it only at night, as applying before makeup can lead to excess oil and makeup breakdown in the afternoon
