♻️ Zero Waste: Almang Store is great! As a one-year zero waste practitioner, I've transformed my bathroom, but tackling skincare was challenging. On a trip to Seoul, I visited Almang Store and picked up some goodies! Monage offers various products beyond creams. I loved being able to buy just the amount of cream and lip balm I needed! Hope to see more of these at Almang Store or other zero waste shops. Skin type: Combination dehydrated Used for 17 days in winter (from 23.12.23) 1. Hydration/Lasting power (my personal take) Hydration: Above average Lasting power: Average Even in winter, I didn't feel itchy or parched by evening. My previous summer PJG cica cream left me constantly reapplying in fall - so uncomfortable! With Monage, one application was enough, saving me from fussing with my face all day. While it's not miraculously amazing in hydration and lasting power, as a face cream nomad, I'd say it 'hits the mark!' I keep notes on products I've tried, and Monage cream is definitely on my repurchase consideration list. 2. Oil content It's on the richer side, but not overwhelmingly so - perfect for winter! Definitely less oily than my previous STR24 madeca cream or RLSPJ cica balm, which I appreciate. However, it's not lightweight, so I wouldn't recommend it for very oily skin or summer use. As a winter cream, I actually like the nourishing richness. 3. Texture Spreads smoothly. Not too thick, which is nice. 4. Blemishes: None really My skin is sensitive to product changes. This didn't dramatically improve my skin, but it didn't cause any new breakouts either. No noticeable irritation! 5. Value for money I refilled 20g, and after 2+ weeks, I still have half left! It spreads well, so a little goes a long way. You don't need to apply much, so it lasts. I reckon a 100ml full-size would last about 5 months! 1. Limited accessibility The lack of easy access to physical stores is a bit disappointing. I couldn't find any stockists (though I might have missed them!), so it seems online purchase is the only option. That's a drawback for me, as I prefer to test products in-store before buying. It's especially sad for those of us outside Seoul who can't visit Almang Store often. >> Recommended season: Winter As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I recommend using this in winter! It has a rich, creamy texture. The absorption seems to be quite good. If you have acne-prone or sensitive skin, absolutely avoid using this. It caused my skin to flare up and felt so painful with a burning sensation.

It doesn't feel sticky at all and absorbs so well that it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. I can't think of any downsides while using this product. I've heard it's safe for pregnant women to use, but don't apply it to newborns. My skin suddenly turned dry, and after briefly using a famous moisturizing product that caused a breakout, I became a skincare nomad again... That's when I found this product. It's as hydrating as that famous one, but without irritation or blemishes, which I'm really satisfied with. Compared to other high-moisture products, it's not sticky (though not particularly light) and absorbs well. Also, I discovered that at the Almang Store in Mangwon, you can bring your own container and they'll fill it with just the emulsion! I loved this aspect too. It's amazing how Pro Barrier Cream helps with zero waste as well. I hope to find it at Almang Store forever... There's nothing bad to say! Just... please don't discontinue it and keep producing it!
