When the skin barrier is completely broken down, using it for a few days alone can help with recovery. It's extremely oily, but after application, the itchy areas from seborrheic dermatitis or folliculitis start to calm down within about 5 minutes.
Cons
As expected, there's the characteristic greasy, slippery feeling of Physiogel. If you apply too much, it can cause small pimples. I only use it when my skin barrier is compromised. Using it daily is a bit suffocating for me. And it's expensive😭

Since I have eye allergies, when I apply this product near my eyes, the oily component irritates my eyes, causing them to easily fatigue, become bloodshot, and tear up continuously (similar to how sunscreens with organic filters affect me 😭). Pros
I have tried the various blue and red lotions and creams from the Physiogel brand before, so I was already familiar with the brand. This time, I got to try the new Relief Balm. Compared to the products I had used before, this one definitely feels more moisturizing and has a coating-like protective layer. As I get older, my skin is becoming drier and drier, and this winter has been particularly harsh, unlike the relatively mild one last year. I only applied it to the drier areas on my face, like my chin and around my mouth, but this year the dryness was so severe that I also applied it diligently to my legs (shins and inner thighs), which had become irritated and damaged from scratching. While my skin hasn't completely returned to normal, it has improved a lot more compared to just using a regular body lotion. I used to prefer products that absorbed cleanly, but with severe dryness, the lasting moisturization doesn't last as long. The Physiogel Relief Balm doesn't absorb completely, but it's not oily either. The moisturizing layer lasts a long time, so I felt less dryness and itchiness. I also liked that it feels gentle and fragrance-free. It's quite different from the other Physiogel products, and the moisturization lasts much longer.

I didn't apply it to my face as I have a sensitive skin type. Instead, I focused on applying it to my hands and elbows. The moisturizing power is excellent. My hands (which are dry) have been dry lately, but after applying this product following a toner to hydrate, the dryness disappeared. For moderately dry skin, this product alone should provide sufficient hydration (though you'll need to separately replenish moisture). The application is smooth.
