  Pros

  I usually apply toner and several layers of other hydrating serums, followed by an emulsion cream, but my skin still feels dry. Thinking the serums might be too light, I tried the Laneige Cream Skin. It feels quite rich to me, so I don't use it often in my daily routine, but I do apply it before makeup.

  Cons

  Hmm, I tried spraying it on my bare face at work as a mist, but if I just leave it without rubbing it in, it coats my skin making it look extremely oily and shiny. It's somewhat better if I pat it in after spraying. It's okay when applied over a hydrating serum on moist skin, but on dry skin, it doesn't absorb well and feels like an oily film on top. My skin feels really suffocated when I wear makeup, to the point where I rarely even use foundation. This mist doesn't feel like a light hydration but more like a heavy oil coating, so it doesn't seem to suit me personally. Interestingly, I find the Dalba Truffle mist works well for me. I wonder what the difference is? The Dalba feels lighter. While the Laneige might provide more moisture, it feels too heavy for my skin.

  I've struggled with severe skin inflammation, and while I'm much better now, it was really tough for a while :( While skincare can help with visible conditions like acne, my skin was damaged deep down, so products that reduce surface inflammation like madecassoside or cica weren't effective. I decided to focus on strengthening my skin from within, so despite having very oily skin, I committed to using a deeply hydrating toner. I applied it generously, letting it soak into my skin - even getting my collar wet! Using this along with a cream (by the way, if anyone else deals with rosacea, flushing, or papular acne, leave a comment... I'd love to help!), and being patient, I saw significant improvement after a few months. Of course, it doesn't work overnight or even in a month - sudden breakouts can improve quickly with products, but dermatitis takes much more time. It might seem counterintuitive to use such rich products on inflamed, bumpy, flushed skin, but give it time. Once your skin is healthy from within, the surface improves rapidly. I feel like I've overcome so much through changing habits and finding the right products. The persistent redness, papular acne (though it still pops up occasionally), and the days I cried not wanting to live - it all seems like a dream now. While this product alone didn't change everything, for me, the Laneige Cream Skin allowed me to face people confidently and smile again.

  Initially designed for dry skin types, those with combination dehydrated skin or extremely oily skin might find it a bit heavy. It does have a somewhat rich feel to it.

  Tip

  It's literally a cream melted into a toner, so definitely reduce the amount of other products you use afterwards! Since Laneige provides nourishment, follow up with a light layer of a hydrating emulsion or cream. In summer, I apply it once or twice, but in winter, I use a very generous amount - enough that it's almost dripping down my face!
