The 4th photo most closely resembles the actual color! Photo 4: Applied once, in sunlight Photo 5: Applied once, indoors Photo 6: After 2 rounds of drinks, 3 applications, and a big laugh at home (wrinkles more visible) I bought this for when I go to the gym bare-faced, as my natural lip color is too light. It's exactly the shade I wanted - I'm thrilled! Interestingly, the color visibly changes with each layer. I initially wanted the color after one application, but I also like how it looks when layered! I tested it on the back of my hand and noticed some transfer when drinking water, so I thought it might not be a true lip stain. But... It was amazing on a night out! After eating cream pasta, then drinking, I had consumed food and drinks for quite a while. I reapplied every time I looked in the mirror, totaling 3 applications. From a woman's perspective, it didn't wear off to the point of thinking 'Oh no, what happened to my lips!!' It was more like 'Hmm, it's lasting better than expected, but I'll touch up anyway.' Men who aren't into cosmetics probably wouldn't even notice it had faded. Highly recommended!
ConsThere are a few downsides: 1. It emphasizes dead skin cells (lol) I used sheet masks for 5 days before a date, worried about flaky skin, but there was still a bit (haha). It's not severe, just slightly annoying. 2. If you apply multiple layers and smile widely, it can look quite matte, emphasizing lip lines. I end up applying a tinted lip balm on top. 3. There's a clear line between the inner part of the lips and the outer part. The shade I bought is light, but with darker colors, you might risk looking like you have ring around your mouth. I want to buy more colors but I'm hesitant. HOWEVER, the pros far outweigh these cons, so I'll definitely repurchase! On dates, I worry less about my lips in front of my boyfriend. Even when I want to check a mirror, I can resist, thinking 'BBIA... I trust you... You're still there, right?'
TipWhen applying, don't just rub your lips together on the surface. Move your mouth as if you're softening the lip line, including the inner part! Otherwise, the border is too noticeable. Use sheet masks well in advance for important days, but even then, it may emphasize dead skin cells.
