I tried this at a friend's place and it was perfect for me, so I bought it! I don't like using powder, and I hate it when my foundation gets patchy when I try to contour. That's why I started using cream contour, and I recently found this new product. It contains primer, so it seems like it won't budge easily - exactly what I needed! The color is also light, making it ideal for contouring! There's nothing I dislike about it! Both the color and how it absorbs are just right for me. - cu*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedNov 4, 2024
I used this as a substitute for contour. I have Deep Smoke and Light to Top, but personally, for someone like me who uses shade 17 foundation, Deep Smoke is a bit dark for all-over contouring. So I laid this down as a base and used Deep Smoke for accent points. When I do it this way, the contour seriously lasts all day long. The staying power is incredible! The setting power is so quick that if you don't blend immediately after applying, you're doomed. - yu*******Oily SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 25, 2024
I mainly use this for smoky eye looks or when I need to do quick contouring. It has more of a gray undertone than expected, so it's better to apply it close to the crease line rather than all over the eyelid. It also worked great as a nose contour when I went swimming. If you're not careful, it will definitely pill and cake up. It's best to use a very small amount. Even when contouring the nose, you need minimal base makeup underneath. The application can be a bit tricky. I found that gently patting it in with my fingers worked best to prevent pilling and achieve a smooth finish. - ye********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 8, 2024
1. Since using this, I've stopped reaching for my eyeshadow palette. 2. At first, I was hesitant, thinking it might look like dark circles, but the color is surprisingly natural. 3. It creates an incredibly natural under-eye contour makeup look. 1. It sets quickly, so it dries up fast. 2. May cause dryness around the eye area. - qu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 23, 2024
A light brown with cool, natural undertones and a hint of gray. It's more of a khaki brown, perfect for deep undertones. The fixing power is impressively quick. I wish there were more color options to suit different personal color palettes. It seems like most shades are geared towards deep undertones. - hy**********Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 19, 2023
As a primer, it's amazing how eyeshadow applied over it doesn't crease even after hours! This feature is absolutely fantastic. It's like makeup heaven! Hmm... I'm not sure if it's just me, but it doesn't spread evenly and tends to pill. I personally don't mind too much, but I'm not sure how others might feel about it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMay 4, 2023
This product has excellent hydration and staying power, allowing for a clean and polished look. It's also fantastic for creating subtle contours and dimension. While it provides good initial hydration, over time the product becomes extremely dry and matte on the skin. The thinner you apply the shadow, the more natural and seamless the contouring effect becomes. - lj*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedApr 28, 2023
Color: As I have a cool skin tone, I tried shade 6 Light Taupe. It has a slightly grayish tint, making it a versatile base color suitable for both cool and warm tones. The product's transparent packaging allows you to see the actual color, which is a nice design feature. Texture: It has a creamy consistency, similar to a liquid concealer. I was initially worried since it's different from the powder shadows I usually use, but I'm pleasantly surprised. It's moisturizing yet smooth, applying beautifully. It's easy to control the amount, and it adheres well to the skin over time. Longevity: Being a primer product, its staying power is impressive. My eyelids tend to get oily, causing eyeshadow to fade by evening, but this product sets to a matte finish and keeps my eye makeup intact until night. It seems to boost the longevity of other eyeshadows applied on top as well. Creasing: I always experienced creasing with eyeshadows, but this primer significantly reduced the issue of product settling into my double eyelids or clumping. It's better to layer other eyeshadows on top rather than using it alone for the best effect. - kd*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2023
Compared to similar products I've tried from other brands, which often had an overly white cast or intense pigmentation that I wasn't too happy with, and formulas that were either too runny or drying, this one really stands out. Its color payoff is just right, allowing you to build up the intensity as desired. The texture isn't too dry or too thin, which I found really satisfying. The Light Taupe shade is particularly impressive - it's a universally flattering yellowish gray-brown that anyone can pull off. While there's nothing specifically bad about it, one aspect that might be hit-or-miss for some is that it's quite sheer on first application due to its light color. You need to layer it a few times for more impact, which might not be ideal when you're in a rush. I also tried using it for nose contouring, and it worked beautifully for a natural look. For reference, one application gives a subtle 'no-makeup makeup' effect, while two or more layers create a more defined shadow. It's quite versatile! - th***Dry SkinJan 12, 2023
True to its name as a primer, it prevents creasing when applied. After it dries, it has incredible staying power (unlike other shades, this particular color was so stubborn on the back of my hand that even cleansing oil struggled to remove it...) The color is quite disappointing. It's not light, but rather intense, giving the impression of an eye primer combined with eyeshadow. Unfortunately, the shade doesn't suit me at all... It's too heavy and dark, making it difficult to use alone. Even when layering other colors on top, it results in an overly dark and intense makeup look...
