It's like a shadow primer with a subtle contouring effect...? When I use this as a base before applying other eye makeup, it definitely makes everything feel more matte, which seems to improve the staying power. It even appears to slightly cover any oiliness around the eyes. I dab small amounts around my eye area and quickly blend with my fingers. It absorbs smoothly while providing color. Being a liquid formula, there's no excess powder flying around, and its portability makes it a great item to have! While it does function as an eye primer, it feels slightly less effective than a dedicated primer. I'd say it's somewhere between an eyeshadow and an eye primer in terms of performance. - cu*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedNov 4, 2024
I didn't use this as an eye primer, but as a contour instead. It's so convenient and great because when I use this, my contour lasts all day long even in summer. It sets quickly, so if you don't blend it fast, you'll end up with a disaster on your hands. - dh********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 1, 2024
Bought this after seeing a YouTuber's recommendation, and it's great for eye makeup. The staying power is excellent! Some people use it as a shading product, but it's too dark for that purpose. I might need to buy a different shade. - qu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 23, 2024
A deep brown with a hint of gray, giving it a cool natural look. It's more of a deep brown mud color, not particularly cool-toned. The staying power is impressive. It would be great if there were a variety of shades to match different personal color palettes. - ml*****Normal SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 10, 2023
You can create shadows without excess powder fallout and it's easy to blend. The texture is really nice - if only the color matched better, I would have loved using it. With the right technique, you could use this shade for liquid contouring. Given the name 'Deep Smoke' and the description of a cool gray tone, I expected a deep, smoky, cool-toned true gray suitable for cool-toned smoky eyes. However, it's neither deep, smoky, nor cool - instead, it's a muted mid-tone brown with low saturation. In reality, this color would suit muted warm tones better, but those looking for a muted rather than deep shade might hesitate when they see 'smoke' in the name. A name change is urgently needed. - kh********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 27, 2023
The ash + khaki + brown color combination makes it suitable for both warm and cool skin tones. It applies smoothly, but sets quickly, so you need to blend it rapidly. Once set, it's long-lasting and doesn't smudge easily. The quick-setting formula can make it challenging to apply evenly at first. However, once you get used to applying it quickly on one side at a time, you can achieve a beautiful result. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsAug 21, 2023
It's convenient to carry around, and it definitely seems to work well as a primer. Compared to the product photos, it has more of a yellow tint, and it can quickly stain and leave marks. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 13, 2023
To be completely honest, it was darker than I expected at first, which surprised me. But then I thought it could work well as a contour. I tried applying it along my nose line and blending it with my fingers, and you know what? It turned out pretty decent! So now I'm using it as my go-to contour. My previous contour product didn't show up well on my nose, which was disappointing, but this one is visible and makes my nose look higher, which I love. Oh, and you can also use it for eyebrows! I think it might be really handy for waterpark visits. It feels sticky around the eyes... Every time I blink, there's this tacky sensation. And when I try to remove it, it doesn't come off easily... It's like there's some kind of adhesive mixed in. - ha********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJun 2, 2023
I was worried the color might be too intense, but when I applied it, it turned into a lovely subtle shading color! The shade is beautiful and the texture is so soft, I'm definitely considering purchasing it! Although it's a primer, I didn't really notice any specific primer-like effects. But that's okay, I suppose. If you think of it as a long-lasting base, it's not bad... - pj******Combination SkinRecommendedMar 24, 2023
Convenience? It's a primer and eyeshadow in one, so you don't need to apply a separate primer. Just apply this and you're good to go - super convenient! The color is perfect for those with muted skin tones. I thought it might work as a contour too, but according to the collaborating artist, the formula absorbs light. It would have been great if it could multitask, but alas!
